Lily was the captain responsible for bringing Felix - the Black Marketeer - from New Heritage to the Western Lands after his wife and daughters were kidnapped. At some point, John Strum - at the time a portmaster of a private dock in Port Sarim - became romantically involved with her, although the extent of their relationship is unknown.
She later died due to the actions of Quin, a seasinger possessing the Elder Horn who declared herself to be a goddess, although the exact details of what happened are unknown. This led John into depression and gave him a deep vendetta against Quin, causing him to eventually spearhead a successful assassination attempt against her, in which he died.
