A legatus pendant is a Zarosian artefact which is made by restoring the damaged variant at an archaeologist's workbench after the damaged variant is excavated from the Praesidio remains excavation hotspot at the Kharid-et Dig Site with level 47 Archaeology.
The restored artefact can be worn, carried in the player's inventory, or added to the tool belt to allow the player to pass through the red legatus barrier in the prison block area of Kharid-et Dig Site. Through this barrier are the level 58 Archaeology carcerem debris excavation hotspots.
With a pontifex signet ring, and a legatus pendant, the player is able to walk through the maximum security barrier in The Vault of Shadows, just north of the entrance from the prison block. Behind the maximum security barrier, players can talk to the strange device.

Description
|
These pendants were carried by certain ranking members of the Zarosian military, as well as the custodians of this fort's carcerem. They effectively acted as passes into areas of high security.

- ^ This is amount for trading in the artefact at the listed collectors. A part of the collections give an additional amount of chronotes upon completion. The amount in the parentheses is the amount obtained when donating to the museum donation bin, which will give only 40% of the amount one would get from a collector.
