Leechwyrms are a type of wyrm that lived in Vampyrium. They lived in or near rivers and burrowed in the ground and constructed large warrens, which were noted as a prominent feature in the Vampyrium landscape by Lowerniel Drakan.Lord Malachi's grandfather once slew a giant leechwyrm whose husk was mounted on the wall above Malachi's throne. There was at least one particularly dry winter that forced the leechwyrms to move from the rivers and into the tribelands where vampyres lived, causing conflict between the two races.
