Lava is a non-interactive hazard that can be found near volcanoes, in the Wilderness, TzHaar City, Gu'Tanoth and various dungeons throughout Gielinor, as well as off world such as on Freneskae.

It cannot be walked on and can sometimes launch fire balls (lava splash), inflicting up to 50 damage.

The Wilderness Agility Course uses lava as a hazard to damage the player for up to 26.6% of their Life points if they fail the obstacle.

On Freneskae, navigating the Lava Fields was a trial Mahjarrat had to complete before they could conduct the Ritual of Enervation
