Lapis lazuli gem detail.png

A lapis lazuli gem is obtained from common gem rocks, or by mining copper rocks or tin rocks with a dwarven army axe, and then cutting the uncut lapis lazuli with the dwarven army axe or a chisel.

It can be used with unfinished wooden brooch to create a lapis lazuli brooch. Combining the brooch and the stone grants the player 30 Crafting experience. Alternatively, it can be smelted with a silver bar at level 11 Crafting, making a lapis lazuli ring grants 38 crafting experience, and the ring can be enchanted into a ring of luck. The latter is recommended as both rings are tradeable and offers a decent profit.

Jack Oval, found outside of the Taverley mine, will buy this off players for 150 coins. However, he does not have any inherent stock of it and will not resell any players sell to him, making this a good early-game moneymaker for Ironmen.

Trivia[edit | edit source]

  • Prior to the luck rework update, the examine text just was "Combine this with a setting from cutting trees with your Army Axe."
