Strategies for Kree'arra
Recommended levels and equipment[edit | edit source]

Strategy[edit | edit source]
This boss is fought within the God Wars Dungeon. You will need to pass through the main dungeon area, which contains monsters that are aggressive unless you have a Shard of Zaros, to reach Armadyl's Eyrie where you fight Kree'arra.
Before being able to enter the boss chamber you will need to obtain 40 kill count by killing 40 Armadylean-alligned monsters (such as aviansie). If you are able to build a Totem of Intimidation or have a Armadylean or omni soulstone these can be used to avoid having to gain kill count before entering the boss chamber. If you need to get kill count it is recommended to do this in Armadyl's Eyrie as this is where the greatest number of Armadylean followers spawn. Additionally, if you do not have an item that provide protection against all gods' followers, this will minimise the number of followers that you need to bring items to protect against. When you have sufficient kill count enter the door to the boss chamber at the north-west of the area.
In the boss chamber you will be attacked by Kree'arra and his bodyguards Flight Kilisa, Flockleader Geerin, and Wingman Skree. Kree'arra uses two special attacks: a ranged attack that looks like a gale of wind and a magic attack that looks like a blue tornado. Both of these attacks can deal up to 1,080 damage and can move the player, interrupting channelled abilities. These attacks both affect a single target; however if there are multiple players fighting him then he will use multiple attacks at once. He also uses a melee attack that deals up to 1,676 damage. You cannot attack Kree'arra using melee: if you attempt to do a message will tell that you are pushed back by Kree'arra's wings and you will fail to hit.
It is recommended that the player uses Protect from Missiles or Deflect Missiles if they are not using Soul Split. To counter the effect of being moved by Kree's special attacks, players should stand the corners of the chamber or on the tile in front of the chamber door. Once Kree'arra is dead, kill the minions in this order: Wingman Skree, Flockleader Geerin, and finally Flight Kilisa. Skree has the highest damage output when the player is protecting against the right styles from Kree'arra.
After all the minions are dead, take your time to heal and restore your prayer if needed. Adrenaline stalling can also help increase kill rates. An enhanced excalibur will offer the same healing as a healing ultimate ability without needing any adrenaline. Kree'arra's minions also drop manta rays and mushroom potatoes which can be used to heal.
At higher levels you should not experience difficulty with this fight. With use of Soul Split and/or an Enhanced Excalibur you will not need to bank frequently. Use of drop cleaners such as a spring cleaner set to high alch rune salvage and magic notepaper for banking can further prolong trips.
Hard mode[edit | edit source]
During the fight Kree'arra performs the same attacks that he does in normal mode. However the ranged attack's damage is significantly buffed; dealing up to 3,000 damage per hit if not protected against. His armour rating is also increased and like all other hard mode God Wars Dungeon bosses, Kree can bind players for 250 damage if they are under him.
At the start of the encounter, numerous whirlwinds will appear around the room; yellow-brown dust tornadoes (ranged) and lightning vortices (magic). If they touch the player, they will deal up to 2,100-3,400 hard typeless damage every few ticks. After every few attacks by Kree'arra, he says Storms, align to me! This causes all the whirlwinds to barricade around him, and Kree'arra is invulnerable while doing this. A few seconds later he will exclaim Feel the power of Armadyl! and the whirlwinds will be fired out in all directions.
The strategy is the same as in normal mode but you should avoid the tornados wherever possible. If you are standing in a corner and tornadoes move towards you, move out and do not move back unless the tornadoes leave. The tornadoes are not affected by protection prayers, curses and most defensive abilities so players should keep their health high at all times.
If ranging you can use Death Swiftness even when Kree is invulnerable.
If killing Kree in hard mode you are likely to take a large amount of damage, even at high levels. A beast of burden containing extra food is helpful; and you may wish to bring a shield in order to use Resonance and Preparation.
