This article is about the unstuffed King black dragon head dropped by the King Black Dragon. For other uses, see Dragon head.

A king black dragon head is a rare drop from the King Black Dragon. Before the King Black Dragon head can be mounted, it must be taken to the Taxidermist in Canifis. She will charge 50,000 coins and turn it into a stuffed King Black Dragon head. It can then be mounted in a player-owned house in the Skill Hall at level 78 Construction using 2 mahogany planks and 2 gold leaves.

When taken to the Taxidermist, she will exclaim "This must be a King Black Dragon!" and then "I'll have to get out my heavy duty tools -- this skin's as tough as iron!"

Luck-enhancing items will not help in getting the drop. They can be obtained in LootShare teams.

Update history[edit | edit source]

The update history project is a work-in-progress – not all updates to this topic may be covered below. See here for how to help out!
  • patch 22 June 2015 (Update):
    • King Black Dragon head objects have been updated to reflect the latest version of the KBD.

Trivia[edit | edit source]

  • The King black dragon head still retains its old examine text "I should get them stuffed!", even though it was graphically updated on 22 June 2015. The proper examine text should be "I should get it stuffed!", as the item consists of one head rather than three.
  • It was not graphically updated at the same time as the King Black Dragon himself on 9 October 2012, but rather on 22 June 2015.
