Jug of bad wine detail.png

A Jug of bad wine is obtained when a player attempts to ferment grapes and fails, similar to burning food. To ferment grapes, a Cooking level of at least 35 is needed. No cooking experience is received when unfermented wine goes bad.

Players can drink the bad wine, but this will temporarily reduce the player's Attack level by 3. Drinking more jugs of bad wine will stack this effect.

There is no possible way to prevent making a jug of bad wine. When a player is withdrawing this item from his/her bank, it is impossible to withdraw these in note form.

Update history[edit | edit source]

The update history project is a work-in-progress – not all updates to this topic may be covered below. See here for how to help out!
  • patch 8 July 2009 (Update):
    • Added an empty option to jugs of bad wine.

Trivia[edit | edit source]

  • Prior to 8 July, 2009, it was impossible to lose the bad wine without losing the jug, unless a player drank it. The update added an 'empty' option to the item.
