Jewellery
Jewellery is any item worn in the neck or ring slots, and additionally bracelets which are worn in the glove slot. Many pieces of jewellery have unique traits or can be enchanted, while some are purely decorative.
Many types of jewellery can be made with the Crafting skill. Non-members may only craft, enchant or use standard amulets up to diamond, and cannot use most functional necklaces or rings.
Charges[edit | edit source]
Charges on partially-charged enchanted jewellery can be combined to make one fully charged item and one item that contains left over charges. No charges are lost in the process. For example, combining the charges of two 5-charge Games necklaces results in one 8-charge (fully charged) necklace and one 2-charge necklace. All types of enchanted jewellery can have their charges combined, except for the forinthry brace.
Unlike the somewhat similar process of decanting, players cannot combine charges by themselves. Instead, Murky Matt at the Grand Exchange can combine charges for members. When a member right-clicks Murky Matt and selects 'Charge', all applicable items in the player's inventory have their charges combined.
If an item normally disintegrates into dust when its last charge is used, the item also disintegrates when its charges are reduced to 0 through combining charges. For example, combining the charges of two 4-charge games necklaces results in just one 8-charge necklace. If an item does not disintegrate when discharged, like enchanted dragonstone jewellery, then it does not when its charges are reduced to 0 through combining charges. However, if the option to destroy empty vials when decanting potions is enabled the items with 0 charges will be destroyed.
Craftable jewellery[edit | edit source]
Unenchanted jewellery[edit | edit source]
Players can use the Crafting skill to cast gold bars into moulds at a furnace, creating gold rings, necklaces, or amulets. Amulets and symbols need to be strung with a ball of wool before they can be worn. Gems can be used during this process to create gem jewellery, which may be enchanted to bestow combat bonuses and other traits. Silver bars can also be used for a variety of jewellery.
