The International Castle Wars Tournament was a nation-based tournament of Castle Wars. The Dutch/Belgian team came in 1st place, the International team came in 2nd, and the Finnish team came in 3rd.[2]

Hijacking[edit | edit source]

The competition is notable for the hijacking of several teams (notably the Australian Spanish Community and Global Stars teams) by a group known as the Castle Wars Community, which aimed to gain Jagex's attention by demonstrating the ease with which Castle Wars could be hijacked. The Castle Wars Community had been instrumental in the 11-0 demolition of UK/Ireland and the elimination of favourites USA, as well as Canada.
