Honeycomb (player-owned farm)

Honeycombs are items used at the player-owned farm to boost an animal's stats or increase chance of breeding certain traits. They can be made by depositing specific flowers into beehives at the Manor Farm. After flowers are added to a beehive, one honeycomb will be produced in approximately 60 minutes, consuming one of the added flowers. Each harvest gives 83.3 experience, regardless of the kind of flower used. When harvesting, if the player does not have insect repellent in their inventory or on their tool belt, they will take 20 life points of damage and not receive honeycomb.

When honeycomb is fed to livestock by using it directly on a farm animal in the pen, it will give an immediate boost to one of the animal's stats, depending on the type of honeycomb. Checking an animal will open the Animal Info interface to make it easier to feed honeycombs by clicking on '+' button on the right side of the animal's stat; right click or long press the '+' button to feed the maximum amount of honeycomb.

There are ten different flowers that can be placed into the beehives, each creating a different type of honeycomb, and boosting a different animal stat among happiness, weight, health, speed and attractiveness, or affecting the animal by increasing among other things the chance to get multiple traits or a shiny.

The stats Weight, Speed and Attractiveness are currently purely cosmetic. The first five honeycombs were released with player-owned farm, the latter five honeycombs and flowers were released with Het's Oasis where the flowers can be farmed. The honeycombs that affect the next offspring cannot be combined, eg. after using Nutritious honeycomb on an animal, Fertile, Candied, Moreish or Shimmering honeycombs cannot be used on the same animal.
