The holy wrench is a reward for the completion of the Rum Deal quest. It may be worn in the pocket slot.

If players have the wrench in their pocket or inventory when they drink various Prayer-restoring potions, they will regain additional Prayer points, depending on their Prayer level. At level 99, potions which restore prayer will restore an additional 20 points per dose, potions which renew prayer will renew an additional 30 points per dose, and combination potions which both restore and renew prayer will restore an additional 50 points per dose. The wrench stacks with all tiers of the reverence aura. Despite the ancient elven ritual shard's ability to regain prayer points over time, the wrench has no effect on it.

The holy wrench may be used in low-risk combat situations such as Slayer, where signs of item protection or life are not needed, or any other situation when left in the inventory.

If a player loses their holy wrench, they can obtain a new one by talking to Davey on Braindeath Island. It can also be re-obtained at May's Quest Caravan after putting 150 quest points into the Hub Track. Having more than one wrench in your possession does not further increase prayer gain.

After the quest Pieces of Hate, the wrench boosts the amount of prayer restored from the Dungeoneering prayer necklaces by 10% as long as the wrench is either worn or in the inventory. For example, wearing demon horn necklace and killing a dragon will restore 165 prayer points instead of 150 (for a +10% increase).
