Help talk:Customising your signature
- It may not work for your browser. I'm using FF 3 and it works swell. Though I think the <blink> tag is the worst of them all. zyXeiontalk 00:55, 15 August 2008 (UTC)

The rules[edit source]
There are rules about what signatures are and are not allowed to contain at Template:Signatures - shouldn't these be listed in this article instead? Seems like a strange place to keep that kind of information, especially if we are expecting people to stick to the guidelines.
On a separate issue, would I be right in thinking that if a signature contains a graphic or animation that has been resized in the signature, the full file size still needs to be downloaded when someone views the signature? I ask because there is an example of a signature that uses two animations of dragons that have been resized, but the file sizes come to nearly 1 megabyte together. So if someone is browsing on a 56k modem, this would take around five minutes to download. Is this going to be true on any talk page that contains that signature? If so then I think this needs to be spelt out in the guidelines too, that users need to consider the file size as well as the dimensions of the images in their signatures. Article title[edit source]
This has just occurred to me - shouldn't this page's title be spelt "Customising" rather than "Customizing"? The style guide says to use British English, so would anyone object to have the page moved? Leevclarke talk 04:17, 4 November 2008 (UTC)
You have a point, No-one has even bothered to move it so i will. 17:09, 28 December 2008 (UTC)
REQUEST COMPLETED! The page is now called Help:Customising your signature
Banned Tags[edit source]
If tags like <font> are no longer allowed, shouldn't there be something that says what isn't allowed and how to use the preferred alternatives?06:33, 26 January 2009 (UTC)
- Kyzza1, I've been trying to promote such a rule-set, but it didn't receive much support. So instead, I made a template that outputs W3C-compliant signatures. Feel free to check it out at Template:Signature. I'm still working on a guide for it that will replace the current guide, though. 17:49, 26 January 2009 (UTC) <-- That signature was made with Template:Signature. ;)

Text Colour Link[edit source]
In the font colour section, there is a link to wikipedia for the list of colours, however we have a page in rs wiki with the same info so should'nt it be linked there?
Current - "Colour names are limited to a list of recognised colour names which can be found here, however hexadecimal codes can also be input to yield any colour:"
Proposed link - here
