The gargoyle is a familiar that grants an invisible +12 mining damage boost.

Binding contract (gargoyle)[edit | edit source]

A binding contract (gargoyle) is obtained via Archaeology.

In order to make the Ancient Summoning pouch, the Dagon Bye mystery must be completed. Once this mystery is solved, players may begin creating binding contracts, requiring 1 blue charm, a normal pouch, 2 Bloods of Orcus, 2 hellfire metals, and 200 spirit shards.

Upon making the binding contract, players must then kill gargoyles in order to bind the Gargoyle into the contract resulting in binding contract (gargoyle). Unlike normal Summoning, Ancient Summoning does not require use of Summoning obelisks to infuse pouches.

Gargoyle scroll (Hammer Rock)[edit | edit source]

Gargoyle scroll (Hammer Rock)s allow your next mining swing to deal 50% more damage. This is particularly useful when mining rockertunities from core rocks. This method can be combined with the crystallise Seren spell, Light Form Seren prayer, and Brooch of the Gods to further increase the effectiveness of the scroll. Powerburst of opportunity may also be used every two minutes to double the effect of rockertunities.
