The Fremennik achievements are a group of Area Tasks subcategories relating to the Fremennik Province. These subcategories are: Easy Fremennik, Medium Fremennik, Hard Fremennik, and Elite Fremennik.
The NPCs for the easy, medium, hard, and elite subcategories are indicated by a icon on the minimap and the world map. These are the council workman on the bridge between Seers' Village and Rellekka, Yrsa in Rellekka, and Advisor Ghrim on Miscellania, respectively.
The rewards for this set of subcategories include the Fremennik sea boots and experience lamps giving a total of 190,000 experience in skills. A player must obtain each pair of Fremennik sea boots in chronological order (e.g. medium achievements must be completed before the reward for hard achievements is available).
If the sea boots are lost, they can be retrieved from the NPC who gave the player the sea boots; the council workman for the Fremennik sea boots 1, Yrsa for the Fremennik sea boots 2, and Advisor Ghrim for the Fremennik sea boots 3 and 4.
This set of achievement subcategories is required for the Task Master achievement of the completionist cape.
Completing the Easy, Medium, and Hard Fremennik achievements is a requirement for the quest Blood Runs Deep.
Completing all achievements in this set of subcategories gives a total of 520 RuneScore.
There are 4 achievements in this group.

| Wear rock-shell, spined, or skeletal armour and have the locals in Rellekka use an honorific with one's Fremennik name.
The core three components of the full set (helm, body, legs) are needed in order to complete this achievement. Simply talk to a local in Rellekka. 3 | Astronomical! | Yes | Craft at least 56 astral runes simultaneously, without using pouches or familiars. |
| Craft at least 56 astral runes simultaneously, without using pouches or familiars.
Requires a full inventory (28 pieces) of pure essence. Boosts may be used, but players cannot use pouches or familiars. You cannot wear the Ethereal outfit. Another strategy is to use the wicked hood charged with an omni-talisman or an omni-tiara. Players can use it teleport to any altar and withdraw a full inventory of pure essence. Players can simply boost at any convenient bank, and then teleport. | 25 |
9 | Axe'll Grease | Yes | Use Balmung to kill a dagannoth. |
| Use a balmung to kill a dagannoth.
The dagannoth has to be in the Fremennik Province, for example in the Lighthouse dungeon. Killing a dagannoth guardian or killing the dagannoths in the Chaos Tunnels will not complete the achievement. | 25 |
4 | First Stryke | Yes | Kill an ice strykewyrm (you do not need to be assigned these as your slayer target to complete this Task). |
| Kill an ice strykewyrm. Finishing this achievement does not require a player to be assigned ice strykewyrms as a slayer assignment, but the player must be able to damage them while having at least level 93 Slayer during combat. This means either wearing a fire cape, any variant of the TokHaar-Kal cape or have purchased the ability to kill them which costs 2,000 Slayer points. Boosts such as the wild pie will not work for this achievement, regardless of the chosen method. Players can kill one only once to complete the achievement without it being their current Slayer assignment. If a player attempts to attack an ice strykewyrm via conventional means, even via a ring of recoil, deflection curses, or poison they will cause no damage. | 25 |
1 | Jaws Breaker | Yes | Catch a shark with bare hands on Jatizso. |
| Catch a raw shark barehanded on Jatizso. Catching a raw great white shark at this location will work. Catching a shark with the Bait and Switch Archaeology Relic will also count. Fishing boosts will work. The admiral pie may be used to complete this achievement at level 91 Fishing. Strength boosts work as well. Players boosting for this achievement should also consider completing a similar achievement, Fremennik Export, at the same time. | 25 |
5 | Leap of Faith | Yes | Jump the chasm in the Fremennik Slayer Dungeon to gain quick access to the pyrefiends. |
| Jump the chasm in the Fremennik Slayer Dungeon to gain quick access to the pyrefiends. | 25 |
2 | Limber Lumber Jumper | Yes | Complete the high-level section of the Barbarian Agility course while wearing an agile top. |
![]()
| Complete a lap of the high-level section of the Barbarian Outpost Agility Course while wearing an agile top. Agility boosts may be used both to obtain the agile top and finish the achievement. | 25 |
6 | No Smoke Without Pyre | Yes | Make a pyre ship from magic logs. |
| Make a pyre ship from magic logs.
Boosts may be used, but the Firemaking and Crafting level must be level 85 at the same time, so it is advised to boost Firemaking with orange spicy stew and Crafting with crafting potions. For this achievement mangled bones or chewed bones are required. Chewed bones can take quite a long time to collect, so it is advised to kill a confused barbarian inside the Ancient Cavern, or to loot the barbarian corpse there for mangled bones, though this may take a few tries. | 25 |
8 | Potting With Otto | Yes | Make a Super Ranging Mix within Otto's house. |
| Make a super ranging mix within Otto's Grotto. It is not required to entirely make the super ranging mix, players just need to add caviar to a 2-dose super ranging potion inside Otto's Grotto to complete this achievement. | 25 |
7 | This Hasta Work | Yes | Smith a rune hasta at Otto's anvil. |
| Smith a rune hasta at the anvil in Otto's Grotto. | 25 |

Trivia[edit | edit source]
- On the day the achievements came out the spoilers read: "Spoilers are as evil as dagger-mouths, so we locked them up till tomorrow. Maybe they'll be more respectful then."
- The Behind the Scenes of December 2008 stated that rewards might include "a potential 20,000 experience reward lamp" while the lamp which gave the most experience at release of the easy, medium, and hard achievements gives 15,000 experience. Altogether, the three lamps total 30,000 experience. When the elite achievements for this region were added one lamp worth 40,000 experience and 4 lamps worth 30,000 experience were added.
- Players were initially able to make 6 million an hour by making magical cape racks (or marble magic wardrobes on a lesser scale) flatpacks and selling them to Advisor Ghrim at medium Grand Exchange price, before Jagex drastically lowered the prices for these two items without warning on the 12 December 2008. This caused many players to lose a large amount of cash due to having the flatpacks or magic stones at the time Ghrim was updated. On 17 December 2008 a post was released in the Recent Updates forum telling players that Advisor Ghrim had been updated for 1 week and he would be exchanging the flatpacks for money in the coffers for most (but not all) of the Grand Exchange cost of their components.
