I'll be discussing my leadership of the Asian/Oceanian fest with Steler. On another note, I have some suggestions about discussion. Could people actually suggest or support things instead of just going "i can come this time!!!!!11!!". Also, for ease of discussion, let's call the Amero-European fest the "Western Fest", and the Asian/Oceanian fest the "Eastern Fest", named after their respective hemispheres. I think what we're looking for now is suggestions, and how you think we can improve. Comment - Start at the party room? In the past we've met in places hard to get to or areas people don't know. The party room would be an excellent place to meet because I'm pretty much sure everyone knows about it. I thought we would start off in the Falador Garden, and then move to other parts of the city for the three parts of the costume contest I am planning to have (the categories being Funniest, Halloween, and everything else). Comment/Idea - What if we had a resource gathering competition? Split up the wiki-visitors into 3-4 groups, post a list on the wiki (or just say it in clan chat?) and whoever brings back the proper amount of resources wins? Idea - During Summer Wikifest '10, the person who was running it (Stelercus) was not the owner of the account Summerfest10. He couldn't mute the cc and there were long empty periods of silence while he waited for the owner (who was very slow about it) to mute it. This was a huge problem. Whoever is running the fest should be the owner of the CC for the fest. I am not vot, I am Melon! 00:00, 3 August, 2010 (UTC)

I try to find people over 18 to run the CC as they have the rare ability to clear their whole schedule for the day of the fest and have nobody to tell them what to do in real life. Therefore, they are less likely than me to leave during the fest. I cannot be 100% sure I will not have to leave the computer for something mid-fest and mess everything up. Comment - I am against having two wikifests. The group we had last time was a decent size, any smaller and it just wouldn't be worth doing. Personally I don't mind waking a couple hours early on a Sunday or staying up just a little late, but I do understand that not everyone does as little as I do on Sundays. :P Two more suggestions, Bucket bombings instead of cabbages and can we split this into time, events, leader, location and misc topics? - [Pharos] 12:57, 3 August, 2010 (UTC)

Not too sure about the buckets. The reason we are having two wikifests is because it's impossible to find a single time that is good for everyone, so the eastern side of the world is having their own. The size will be a non-issue as having a separate fest for the east will have little effect on the attendance for the west (Aussies rarely show up for the Wikifest due to the time problem). The date should be early September, but we will get to that once we have ideas for events. You are free to suggest a location, but I recommend the Falador garden. What I mean is can we split the discussion into seperate sections once it starts getting a bit full? If the last YG thread was any indication, this will become a very large thread. I call this recognising the people of the Eastern Hemisphere's time zone differences. If we change it to the September Wikifest, it'll be recognising the Southern Hemisphere's seasonal differences. However this is unlikely. 222 talk 07:10, August 4, 2010 (UTC)
