According to this interview,

Question 25 Does Jagex plan to do anything with clan websites, such as white listing them?

Players mentioning safe websites/fansites in-game won’t have any action taken against them. We will still be taking swift action against players who advertise dangerous or inappropriate websites.

...Epic. I appreciate some of you already knew this, but given that the rules in RuneScape:Clan Chat still say we're sort-of-violating Rule 11, it's not completely reflected in our policies... JalYt-Xil-Vimescarrot 10:12, 28 April 2009 (UTC)

Comment - Just a thought, why don't you put it here Here instead? Santa hat.png Powers38 おはようヾ(´・ω・`) 11:00, 28 April 2009 (UTC)

It doesnt explicitly say that you can mention the Runescape Wiki however. Unlike some other fansites such as tip.it and RuneHQ which have been mentioned by name by Jagex, the wiki has not and so you should still be careful when saying it ingame until such time as the wiki is contacted by Jagex for linkup. --Gold ore.png Mercifull UK serv.svg (Talk) 12:12, 28 April 2009 (UTC)

There is a post here that has been made by a Jagex mod stating that it is safe to speak about safe fansites in game. Just thought I'd back this up with a direct link from a mod rather then just an interview for any of your who are skeptical.

No, we're not. Jagex have listed the fansites that can be discussed here, and we're not on the list (the Funorb Wikia is -_- ).
I really don't like what they're doing. Dtm142 21:09, 17 May 2009 (UTC)
I wonder why. Perhaps because we don't have good control over the ads shown, and they have seen some gold-seller ads displayed on our site. Administrator Hurston (T # C) 21:57, 17 May 2009 (UTC)
I don't know. I think some websites that were listed shows rwt ads also. I think they were dicussing it somewhere on the RuneScape forums.Santa hat.png Powers38 おはようヾ(´・ω・`) 00:51, 18 May 2009 (UTC)
Comment - There seems to be a discussion on the forums that have about many ads about gold farming. The page can be found on the Official RuneScape Forums here. ~MuzTalk 00:53, 18 May 2009 (UTC)

In there not anything we can do about the rwt ads? --Newspaper.pngNewspaper JackNewspaper.png 00:38, 18 May 2009 (UTC)

I think that all that we can do about the ads is to tell Wikia Staff that the ads are not appropriate for the Wiki, as it promotes cheating. I think I saw a place from before that said that on Gaming Wikias, an ad that promotes cheating can be taken down. ~MuzTalk 00:53, 18 May 2009 (UTC)

You think we are the only website on the internet that deals with randomly generated advertisements? If after serious thought you think we are not listed because of our choice in randomly generated advertisements, you lack common sense. Its quite easy to get listed [1] Cap and goggles.pngTEbuddy 01:08, 19 May 2009 (UTC)

Easier said than done, TEBuddy...about half a dozen of us have already recommend this site on that sticky. Andrew talk 01:29, 19 May 2009 (UTC)
Check out pg 43 of that forum, JMod says the list is how it is, and pretty much too bad if your site isn't on it. I seriously doubt anything good would have come of being in contact with them anyhow so this shouldn't be a focus of anyone here. The wiki owns, pure and simple.--Degenret01 23:30, 21 May 2009 (UTC)
Take a quick peek at page 44, Mod Hohbein (Who, I believe, is the top fansite support moderator) said that the list will continue to change. He stated that at the bottom of the post. There is still chance. I heard that Jagex can discuss future updates with them if they were told of, and other stuff like update reviews. ~MuzTalk 00:32, 22 May 2009 (UTC)
Do you mean this thread [2]? Ive checked page 43 of both the threads I linked to and I found no way to interpret what the Jmod said as being "if your site is not on the list then bug off." Cap and goggles.pngTEbuddy 15:27, 22 May 2009 (UTC)

Comment- Ooh! RuneScapeRSS at twitter only follows Jagex- and us. Too bad we don't use our own twitter channel, eh? http://img268.imageshack.us/img268/3921/thehimmemote.pngGone. 18:19, 2 June 2009 (UTC)

Stupid me, they aren't Jagex. I ought have known better >.>. Although OfficialJagex follows us, too. Along with Tip.it, Zybez.... etc. http://img268.imageshack.us/img268/3921/thehimmemote.pngGone. 22:08, 2 June 2009 (UTC)
Actually, we follow them. Just a small correction. ~MuzTalk 22:12, 2 June 2009 (UTC)
Oh, yeah. I'm new to twitter. From now on, don't listen to anything I say regarding twitter >.> http://img268.imageshack.us/img268/3921/thehimmemote.pngGone. 22:58, 2 June 2009 (UTC)
Oh, wait a second... Yes, they DO follow us. See? http://img268.imageshack.us/img268/3921/thehimmemote.pngGone. 23:01, 2 June 2009 (UTC)
Your link brings me to a log in screen. Can you just tell us what is there please? I do not have nor do I plan on making a twitter account any time this year.--74.76.48.104 23:18, 2 June 2009 (UTC)
You can delete the account any time you want, but, anyway, it's a list of who Jagex is following. We're on the list. http://img268.imageshack.us/img268/3921/thehimmemote.pngGone. 23:20, 2 June 2009 (UTC)
