- It used to be an option in preferences. It made a badge that had the wiki logo+your username+edit count in colors you chose. It was not used much, so I'm guessing that was the reason it was removed. It shouldn't really be in used help, admin req if anything. HaloTalk 04:32, July 14, 2010 (UTC)
Comment - ^Example of badge. I asked in the #wikia IRC, and joeyaa said it looks like it had been officially removed by Wikia staff Wikia-wide, but he didn't seem entirely sure. He will ask Kirkburn later if it can be re-enabled.
There is also a thread on Central Wikia: [[w:Forum:How do i enable the badges?|Here]].That refers to something different Chicken7 >talk 07:46, July 14, 2010 (UTC)
- Yeah, I was beginning to consider that. I'm pretty sure that's what happened too. We have some sysops that like to remove useless stuff (which is cool), so I thought maybe someone was being proactive, but I guess not. HaloTalk 08:18, July 14, 2010 (UTC)
- No, actually that's a different thing. It's based off how many mainspace edits you have. (It can also be applied to certain other categories I believe-maybe just all non-user/user talk edits). It gives you a "rank" based on them. It can be enabled through wikia, but I don't think people want it here, I know I certainly don't. Because then it makes things about edit count instead of getting the job done and getting it done right. HaloTalk 08:22, July 14, 2010 (UTC)
Comment - That extension was a test that Wikia did a long time ago, and which they also stopped working on and improving a long time ago. The extension has been removed, and from what I know it won't be enabled again. ajr 21:50, July 15, 2010 (UTC)
