I just hi-alched and lo- alched potato seeds to get the values for the infobox. However they are already on the exchange page. It would be good if the infobox took this data from the exchange page, where not specified and available. Rich Farmbrough, 21:18 9 August 2009 (GMT).

It would be good to do so, but not all of the exchange pages have the info, and sometimes its the other way around (article has and exchange hasn't). If the item infobox used the exchange page to pull the high, low and store data, then that would be good since all prices are then on one page... Exactly. It's the work of a moment to modify the Item page infobox to use the exchange data if no value is present, the ExchangeItem template needs to be able to emit the other prices (maybe it can already, but I don't think so) ideally through wrapper templates, {{lo-alch}} etc. which would be something like {{Exchange-Item|View=lo-alch|{{{1|{{PAGENAM}}}}} . Then "simply" a question of migrating the data to the exchange pages. Rich Farmbrough, 21:47 9 August 2009 (GMT).
Good stuff. I'll help out if needs be. (Support if not already clear.) Quest.png Gaz Lloyd 7:^]Events!99s 00:26, 10 August 2009 (UTC)

Support - I've wondered why we didn't do this. - TehKittyCatTalk Wikian-Book 23:34, 9 August 2009 (UTC)

Comment - This works well, I tested it with HighAlch, we just need LowAlch and store outputted also. - TehKittyCatTalk Wikian-Book 03:31, 10 August 2009 (UTC)

Comment - I've actually tried doing this, but I gave up halfway because there were discrepancies between the value in the item page and the value in the Exchange page. I could come up with a database of the HighAlch and LowAlch prices, and someone could update these prices in the Exchange pages. (AzBot hasn't been programmed to update pages yet.)   az talk   04:20, 10 August 2009 (UTC)

Support - Sounds good. Runecrafting.gif Mo 55 55 Talk|Sign 08:30, 10 August 2009 (UTC)

Support if it can be done. White partyhat old.png C Teng talk 14:25, 10 August 2009 (UTC)

Support - It's probably possible. ShinyUnown T | C | E 14:31, 10 August 2009 (UTC)

Support - Although I'd like to point out that one of the tasks is to make sure that all of the "Exchange" pages have the high alch/low alch information that has been transferred. One of the reasons I added these values into the GEMW data is in part due to their impact (according to the official Jagex criteria) on the floors and ceilings of prices for various items. When the Grand Exchange was originally set up, Jagex went out of their way to make sure you could not high alch items for a profit. Why that is the case has never been explained to me nor discussed on the official forums... and yes there were numerous complaints on the RSOF about that issue. Still, it is a feature that is a part of the game that needs to be documented, and getting these values is not quite so simple.

The info box could be modified so if the "exchange=gemw" field exists, that the high alch/low alch data would be pulled... assuming that the high alch value is missing. Either this or we could consider the GEMW data as the "more correct" data and optionally use the data from the info box if the GEMW data does not include any information about the alch prices. About half of the GEMW database has high alch and low alch prices --Robert Horning 14:26, 27 August 2009 (UTC)

Comment - The only part needing changing is the infobox, Template:ExchangeItem has been already fixed to output the 2 missing values. - TehKittyCatTalk Wikian-Book 20:18, 27 August 2009 (UTC)
