Hiya people :),

Those who haven't read it yet, please see this forum topic to understand what I'm talking about.

What I'd like to suggest is that the wiki joins in at the Triumvirate as a group. Meaning that we sign up together as a group, earning that organisation points.

Though points aren't the most important thing. The thing I'd like to see is that we make more people aware of the wiki - we join in on Triumvirate events. No - this does not mean advertising "join us", but as with the presence on Skiller's 99 dung party, we should attent and do what we usually do. Not only that, this is also a great event that allows our members to meet together in game, just like with our wikifests. However, we do create a forum thread at the Triumvirate forum - though that has to be done by every "army".

My suggestion would be to join "The Judges". These represent the wiki the most.

So, what do you guys think? Should or should we not join as a "clan"? Mark (talk) 18:34, May 19, 2010 (UTC)

Discussion

Support - I can't see why not. I would say more, but because of the nature of this proposal, there is not a whole lot to be said. Magic-icon.pngStelercusIlluminated Book of Balance.png 18:56, May 19, 2010 (UTC)

Support - I see no reason to oppose. --Aburnett(Talk) 19:02, May 19, 2010 (UTC)

Support - As I was reading the section on the Judges, it reminded me strongly of how the wiki works. I think we should join, and the Judges are the most fitting group. I'm a regular user and I approve this message.  TLUL Talk - Contribs - Pondera Est Potestas  23:24, May 19, 2010 (UTC)

Support Judges - This seems great! I smell great progress in this wiki! (davelopo) 01:10, May 20, 2010 (UTC)

Comment Seems okay, except none of the three groups actually stand for anything good. Oh well, for those that sign up, have fun.--Degenret01 01:20, May 20, 2010 (UTC)

Most people seem to want to do judges, because that is most similar to wiki. HaloTalk 01:34, May 20, 2010 (UTC)
The judges won't get involved in negative situations. Whos' gonna fix it then? Wussy judges. Lol--Degenret01 01:42, May 20, 2010 (UTC)
I dunno how this comment even ended up here, it was supposed to be on the bottom of the page, but whatever lol. I don't know how much I'll participate in this (mainly because I want like a warrior class lol), I do however wish Jagex would devote more time to real game updates. Support to an extent - It is alright to join as a clan, but do not represent the wiki in this. The message must be made clear that this is simply users from the wiki having fun, not the wiki's handpicked team to give a title. sig1.png Spam me w/ lolcatsPottery statuette detail.png Is <insert name here> awesome? Support - Sounds interesting, and can be very helpful to the wiki, while also creating fun for our users. Although I'm Pro-Sara, The Judges sound the best for the wiki. Key words like neutrality, balance and wisdom are good. Also interesting to note, Mod Hohbein (responsible for Fansite Recognition) is on the high council Lol Cheers, Chicken7 >talk 07:04, May 20, 2010 (UTC)

Support - Totally Support the idea of joining the judges and on Triumvirate as a whole, it would be an awesome way to spread not only the popularity, but also to give people out there the idea that being a part of the wiki is fun :) - Nicolejess.

Comment The reavers respect All Reavers are considered as valuable as each other.--Degenret01 09:34, May 20, 2010 (UTC)

Comment This also seems to be getting more clannish and further away from the ideals of a wiki. I don't think thats such a good thing.--Degenret01 09:38, May 20, 2010 (UTC)

If you look at the descriptions of each, they all have a different way of wording what you said above. The Judges more closely match the ideals of the wiki. Magic-icon.pngStelercusIlluminated Book of Balance.png 09:40, May 20, 2010 (UTC)

Comment - From what I can see here, the "clan" will be joining the judges. All persons who voted here will be counted as "clan members". Also, all "members" are free to join the faction of their choice - our "clan" will just join the Judges. Now we need to choose leaders. I think 2-3 of them should suffice. Who should we add as "leaders"? Or should we add "none"? Mark (talk) 16:10, May 20, 2010 (UTC)

I didn't completely understand what you said. Do you mean that, if I joined reavers, I would still be considered in the clan? bad_fetustalk 15:59, May 20, 2010 (UTC)
If you decide to join the clan, you will be in the Judges group with the clan, though you may individually join the Reavers outside the clan, and participate with them. That's what Jagex mod stated on post... 29? of the FAQ forums. Mark (talk) 16:10, May 20, 2010 (UTC)
Oh well, I guess I'll join teh jugdes with you guys, even though I don't like the idea of joining them. bad_fetustalk 16:16, May 20, 2010 (UTC)
Are only admins allowed to be leaders?   Swizz Talk   Events!   17:05, May 20, 2010 (UTC)
I would just go without leaders unless we find that it's severely hindering our ability to function. Magic-icon.pngStelercusIlluminated Book of Balance.png 18:33, May 20, 2010 (UTC)

Support - This'll bring the community closer and show that the wiki has a presence in-game, also I'd love to be a "leader", unless it's only available to admins.   Swizz Talk   Events!   17:05, May 20, 2010 (UTC)

Additional Idea - As some people don't want to be judges, we could have 3 sign-up lists for each of the three Organisations.   Swizz Talk   Events!   17:47, May 20, 2010 (UTC)

Comment - If people dislike the idea of being with a faction, they can belong to any individually. If they dislike that consensus wants the Judges, they can use a different clan as R S Wikia can only belong to one. For this activity, ten is the minimum amount for a clan to participate. As for the leaders, Jagex wants those of our equivalent B'crat and administrator ranks. Overall, either leave the field as "Many," [Our active 'crats], or relate the position to a Wiki policy. Ryan PM 23:20, May 20, 2010 (UTC)

Comment - 1. We haven't posted anything about this on the RSOF yet, 2. We'll have one big army. Mark (talk) 18:28, May 21, 2010 (UTC)

There's an event on Sunday, will that be for individuals or clans? Also if I join as an individual then sign up to the RSWiki clan will I lose points?   Swizz Talk   Events!   18:41, May 21, 2010 (UTC)
Comment - You won't lose any points. You may just join in on your own or with the wiki, that's all up to you. Mark (talk) 13:12, May 22, 2010 (UTC)

Support - I support this idea, and suggest that we join the Judges. They seem to be a good representation of the wiki, and more like Guthix, a mutual favourite with many, if not most, wikians.--Cheers, Off-hand ascension crossbow.pngYodaAscension crossbow.png 19:35, May 21, 2010 (UTC)

There was a main page poll a while back asking the same question. Guthix beat the other two by about 75%, if I remember correctly. As for those that do not support joining the Judges, the wiki itself can only join one of the three factions. While everyone is free to join other factions independently, the community itself has to join the one supported by consensus. Magic-icon.pngStelercusIlluminated Book of Balance.png 00:47, May 24, 2010 (UTC)

Support - I don't really care but why not. And do we really have to be all in one faction? I think the most "balanced" and mutual opinion comes from the thoughts of everyone, not only Guthixians. --Glossy flame

Comment - I think this is almost unanimously, we'll sign up. Should we create a RuneScape:Off-site page or not? Maybe we should have some kind of "join" page. Mark (talk) 14:12, May 22, 2010 (UTC) Signup (not yet posted!):

Clan Name: RuneScape Wiki
Clan Leader: None
Number of Members: 27 (For now, will probably go up with signup page)
Type of clan: Anything
Organisation: Judges
Great, I think we should add this to Off-Site and maybe even let it have it's own section in the community portal with a list of upcoming events and a sign-up list.   Swizz Talk   Events!   14:23, May 22, 2010 (UTC)
I've posted it. I'll start working on the signup page. Mark (talk) 21:56, May 23, 2010 (UTC)

Comment I might have to go with a dif group than the judges personally.... b/c i dont always "keep my cool" as it says in the judges info box. plus i like killing way too much to be neutral! Ranged cape (t).png Mookie Merk Talk Rune crossbow.png 13:36, May 26, 2010 (UTC)

To those who do not want to join the Judges - I am going to quote something I said earlier. the wiki itself can only join one of the three factions. While everyone is free to join other factions independently, the community itself has to join the one supported by consensus. The Judges most closely match that which the Wiki stands for. We are the best source of knowledge for the game we are a database about, and the Judges partially represent being scholarly. Magic-icon.pngStelercusIlluminated Book of Balance.png 22:46, May 30, 2010 (UTC)

Closed - The Wiki will be joining The Judges. Interested Wikians may sign up at RuneScape:Off-site/Triumvirate. C.ChiamTalk 09:41, June 16, 2010 (UTC)
