Eventually, I hope we have some good articles that cover all teams of Jagex and notes down employees that are known. For now, some of the main ones we have are Community Management and Content Developers. They have quite a few employees listed, but 'former' employees on the page(s) have simply moved to other teams rather than left the company.

How do we handle this? Do we list employees on both pages of the teams (if we assume that eventually we'll have articles covering all teams in Jagex)? Where do the mod's names redirect to if their names are listed on both their former and new team's article? This is all pretty confusing so apologies if this isn't explained very well...

Comment - I have no specific proposal for this yet, but I wanted to start a discussion. jayden 12:57, June 13, 2017 (UTC)

Comment - I guess they can be listed on both and the redirect should point to the current team department IMO. Farming-icon.png Salix of Prifddinas (Talk) Prifddinas lodestone icon.png 13:04, June 13, 2017 (UTC)

Comment - I would be alright with just "current employees" and "former employees" and stating what role they had instead of trying to break between headers for various roles. I'm not trying to be lazy, but have you ever seen how much movement can occur between teams in any workplace? Promotions, transfers ... for two months you're working on one project as a technical developer and then needing to help with another team's project for 2 weeks to help get that polished, then just as you switch back to your original team, you learn that they hired someone to replace you because THEY needed a body to fill in for their increased workload, and just as you're getting ready to help with the work on your old team, you find out they hired a new team lead that you don't particularly like ... so you ask to get transferred to another team ..... and all of this can take place in a span of a few months. (yes, this is an extreme example but it does happen. Not everyone stays in the same role for 5 years.) As people on the outside, this can be a challenge to keep up with, even though we know many of the Jmods have Social media accounts and like to update their statuses, do we as volunteer wikians and editors want to be responsible for constantly looking at all 100+ Jmod social media pages? or can we just stick with "this person is a Jagex Employee, last working with [team] and here was the projects they worked on" instead of "Team Alpha - Jmod #1 info, Jmod #2 info, Jmod #3 info" and each of those bits of info would still look like what I described? --Deltaslug (talk) 13:05, June 14, 2017 (UTC)

I actually really like the idea of just having a central article. I might be bold and do this later, effectively rendering this discussion redundant. It seems like the most logical way to deal with this problem. Of course, we can still have pages for the different teams, but these would just explain what they do rather than who is in them. jayden 14:07, June 14, 2017 (UTC)
I'd stick with having pages for Content Developers, Customer Support, Quality Assurance, etc instead of team pages. Those are departments, which are unlikely to change, but the exact teams within those departments are prone to change. Not just the members, but *everything*. Team names, team briefs, *and* team membership. Small recharge gem.png AnselaJonla Slayer-icon.png 14:27, June 14, 2017 (UTC)
It'd be nice to have all the teams and their members. Like who are in the Eternals, Ninja's, etc.? But I see that this would be a hard thing to keep updated. But I guess departments will suffice. Farming-icon.png Salix of Prifddinas (Talk) Prifddinas lodestone icon.png 14:40, June 14, 2017 (UTC)

Question - Do we stick to level 3 headers for each employee, then a paragraph or so of information about them? Or would a table be a better idea, as the former could make the page long and tables could be sortable? I've made a page with a sample of a table on User:JaydenKieran/Jagex. jayden 20:10, June 14, 2017 (UTC)

The table looks good, but perhaps a paragraph will still be necessary for at least the developers as they tend to have list of stuff that they have done. Farming-icon.png Salix of Prifddinas (Talk) Prifddinas lodestone icon.png 09:13, June 15, 2017 (UTC)

Closed - Discussion was had. Being bold sounds coo. --LiquidTalk 03:08, June 20, 2017 (UTC)
