Forum:Summoning Training Fix
I orginally started this with this page. Degen brought up how useless that page was, which brought me to thinking about the whole Summoning training page. I have 99 Summoning and I decided I would fix that page, so people would actually be able to use it for it's intended purpose, To Train Summoning (in case that wasn't clear...)
Why the summoning training page fails. Well...only 1 reason...the "recommended" (also the only) ways to train summoning:
- First Method-by gold charms only, which involves using 142-155k gold charms. Need I say more?
- Method Two-by green charms only, which probably takes longer and costs more than any other method I've heard of.
- Number Three-by cost, which should be all fine and dandy, but leaves out crimson charms entirely!
- Last One-by minimizing shards, which involves only making rune minotaurs from 86-99. This one should be called "By Blue Charms Only"
As you can see, clearly someone who has never trained summoning (at least after the Wolf Whistle quest), wrote this guide. It's a major problem, as no one would actually use any of these methods.
I was always a firm believe in not proposing a problem if you didn't have a fix though.
My fix is listed in my sandbox. I would appreciate any constructive edits made, so feel free to do that.
I am proposing that almost the entire summoning training page be deleted, due to the reasons listed above. It would be replaced with what I have written, with the constructive criticism, and edits of other users. HaloTalk 22:30, April 6, 2010 (UTC)
Support - I usually base my training at least somewhat on the RSW's guides, but for Summoning, I don't, as I think it is very poorly written and not helpful.~~Signed,Bulbear4444~~ 00:34, April 7, 2010 (UTC)
Support - Never like that article and always used my own calculations. Your page owns BTW.00:46, April 7, 2010 (UTC)
Closed - Firstly, this isn't really what the Yew Grove is for. The Yew Grove is for policy and changes that affect or will be of interest to the whole Wiki. If you wish to discuss this change before implementing it, the Summoning training talk page would be more appropriate. Secondly, if I were you, I'd just be bold and do it. 00:59, April 7, 2010 (UTC)
