The Summer 2010 Wikifest is now!

Some of the discussion has been archived.

The time to plan the next wikifest is overdue, and I feel I am responsible for getting the next one started, even if I do not carry out the whole event. I am intentionally using the Yew Grove as the venue for this discussion, as I find the forums to be a dreadful place for organized discussion (editing pages for discussing makes for a more organized forum, whereas the forums are just post, post, post and so forth).

The downfall of the last fest was the fact that we relied to much on player made events and less on the game matrix. With the wiki getting larger and more players attending the fests, we cannot continue to use the primitive methods we have been. Player-run events (races, costume contest, hide and seek) require a massive reform or simply need to be chucked out of our fests. Therefore, I propose a few changes to make some things more organized.

  • Only allow one hider at a time, and place them anywhere (safe) in the f2p game. No requests to hide will be taken, as this caused chaos the last time and effectively ruined hide and seek. This way, hide and seek will be faster, more organized, and more difficult.
  • You will have to sign up for the costume contest ahead of time. If you did not sign up, your not competing. End of story. The mass number of people competing last time made it so impossible that nobody actually won. Users are asked to not sign up if they are not genuinely interested.
    • In addition, there will still be a f2p and a p2p contest, as opposed to one big contest.
  • The clan chat will be a new account created by one of the fest mods so that it can be muted and unmuted as needed. This also means we can ignore users who are spamming things up and multiple other advantages. The ultimate downfall of the wikifest was the spam in the cc. I had to hold myself back from kicking users who would not stop talking when I needed to get announcements out (ruining the fest for most users and leaving them with no other option than sending me PMs to get their questions answered.

With all that said, I propose this schedule for the fest. This one will rely less on player-made events and more on use of the game matrix, that being minigames and so forth.

Note that the times will start at 0 hours, though that is merely symbolic of whatever time the fest starts. This does not start at midnight.

Event Time Details
Meet N' Greet/Costume Contest 0:00-0:20 Everyone will arrive at Falador castle, so that users can do the meet n' greet aspect somewhere, then the costume contest can be held somewhere else in the building. We could also move it to Mudskipper point again as it is more summery there, though change is always nice.
Clan Wars 0:20-0:50 First of all, I have a reason for doing clan wars first, just read on. Everyone will branch off into the two clan chats (yet to be chosen) and move to clan wars. The rules for the first war must allow food/potions, all combat types in their entirety, and multiway combat, though the multiway combat rule may be changed (the others must remain).
Fist of Guthix 0:50-1:20 Everyone will merge back into the main clan chat again and move to Fist of Guthix. Not much to say on that issue, just play fog.
Cabbage patch Chaos 1:20-1:35 A favorite event of ours, we will storm the Falador cabbage patch and attain all the cabbage we can...
Grand Exchange cabbage pwn! 1:35-1:45 The Grand Exchange will be attacked by wikians and showered with cabbage.
Duel Arena 1:45-2:20 Everyone will walk back to Al Kharid to enjoy a few rounds of dueling.
Hide and Seek 2:20-2:40 First of all, I will be sure that the fest mods do not entertain any request to hide. Having a million people asking if they can hide will ruin the event, so any request to do so at the event (but not before hand) will be shot down. The people asked to hide, who only one of which will be hiding at any given time, will hide anywhere in the game (so long as the area is safe and accessible for all levels). You are admonished not to use teleports as this gives an unfair advantage if you are seeking. We will cycle through a few hiders, starting with one after the last has been found. If you do not have a ring of kinship, take the ship to Daemonheim from Al Kharid and get one, as they will be used directly after the event.
Dungeoneering 2:40-? To conclude our wikifest, we will all teleport to Daemonheim at once. A count down will be given in the cc in an effort to all arrive there at the same time, if not only for the visual effect. When we get there, you are asked to enter the white free-for-all portal to be paired up with random wikians. The event essentially ends here, so you are free to move throughout the game with fellow wikians as you see fit.

I would like to give Telos another shot at running the fest, with the assistance of a couple others. I would also like to see the fest held in June before too many people are experiencing summer vacation (and thus out of town more often).

All of this is more than open to debate, though it's always nice to start with something. Discuss away.

Discussion

Comment - I like everything except for the last bullet. Wouldn't it be easier just to ask a fest mod to donate his or her CC instead of creating a new one? 141.156.252.134 21:43, April 25, 2010 (UTC)

Then the fest mod would have to rank a lot of people to have enough kickers. Let's just make a new cc. Magic-icon.pngStelercusIlluminated Book of Balance.png 23:34, April 25, 2010 (UTC)

Also, I have moved this discussion from Summer Wikifest 10' to Summer Wikifest '10. I have no idea what 10' is supposed to mean. --LiquidTalk 22:26, April 25, 2010 (UTC)

It'll be held in year 10,000. We are planning in advance. (davelopo) 12:22, April 28, 2010 (UTC)
Sychron 7 06:03, May 22, 2010 (UTC): Dont listen to dave it is held in this year (2010)
Comment - I'll come, but only because I always come. I'm sorry, I still don't think this will be any less of a disaster. Unmuting and muting the CC continuously will cause confusion. And I still see as many player-run events (non game matrix) as last time. I also see many other flaws. Chicken7 >talk 00:55, April 26, 2010 (UTC)
You see many flaws...please point them out. They cannot be addressed if you keep them to yourself =) 01:05, April 26, 2010 (UTC)

Comment - Brilliant! I love the changes (the Costume Competition and the Hide n' Seek). I would love to contribute some time to this again.

Bonziiznob Talk

01:04, April 26, 2010 (UTC)
Question - Why are we spliting up the group before the joint activities? I think this will cause a lot of confusion. I know what you are getting at, but I'm not sure many will understand that they will join one cc for the meet and greet (and costume competition), split up for the clan wars, and go back again to the one cc...I think this is asking a lot and it'll be hard during the fest to co-ordinate these changes for everyone smoothly... Best to do the events with one cc first, split into two for the clan wars, and then split off again for the dungeoneering. Re-grouping doesn't work well at a fest. We all know that.

Bonziiznob Talk

01:10, April 26, 2010 (UTC)

I was worrying about the same thing. If we want to do Dungeoneering, it would be irational to do it any time other than last as it takes a varryable ammount of time to complete. The fact of the matter is we will have to split and re-group at some point if we want to do Dungeons as well as Clan Wars, so the only solutions I see is to knock one of them off the list or do FOG before CW. Magic-icon.pngStelercusIlluminated Book of Balance.png 18:41, April 26, 2010 (UTC)

Comment - I agree with bonz have the clan wars then the dungeoneering and everything else before clan wars. Also we can then walk to the dungeoneering instead of teling (possibly). Also why for the two cc's cant we just user "R S Wikia" and "R S Wiki" as all ready exist and have a ranks in them. Also I volunteer to be a fest mod for the event.Hunter cape (t).png Sentra246Blue hallowe'en mask.png 01:35, April 26, 2010 (UTC)

If we use R S Wikia, we will have to have Teng there the whole time or we will not be able to do any of the things I mentioned above. Magic-icon.pngStelercusIlluminated Book of Balance.png 18:41, April 26, 2010 (UTC)
Thinking about it I have an account called "Sentra246" which we could use seems though I never use it and it has no friends on it and yeah i didn't read the create a new account bit.Hunter cape (t).png Sentra246Blue hallowe'en mask.png 06:45, April 28, 2010 (UTC)

Comment I'd love it if the fest starts earlier than most times, usually I can't do the later events because of various reasons. Explorer's ring 3.pngBtzkillerv has entered the building! Cape (blue).png 15:28, April 26, 2010 (UTC)

Sychron 7 06:06, May 22, 2010 (UTC) same from me. i usally have to do things in the night or late afternoon. It would be better to start it as early as possible.

Comment - It seems too similar to the past Wikifests, we need to change the minds of people like Chicken who think that most Wikifests are destined to become disasters. Thankfully we have a long time to think of how we can do this, but at the moment we're just using past Wikifests as a template and mixing up the order of events.   Swizz Talk   Events!   15:33, April 26, 2010 (UTC)

There is only so much we can do. If you have any new ideas, say so, or we will end up with another cookie-cutter wikifest. Magic-icon.pngStelercusIlluminated Book of Balance.png 18:41, April 26, 2010 (UTC)
Changing the format is our idea. I'm sorry, using the same old lame format just doesn't work anymore. You've got the same events and mixed them up a bit. Chicken7 >talk 05:43, April 27, 2010 (UTC)

and why not? Third age robe top.png 3rd age farcaster Third age druidic robe top.png 00:49, April 27, 2010 (UTC)
Ages ago we used to start with the F2P events and then leave the F2Pers at a F2P minigame, and members would split off for a P2P minigame elsewhere (usually Castle Wars). Now that actually worked very well and was enjoyed by both free-to-play and members. Most members find playing F2P as a waste of their time. Chicken7 >talk 05:43, April 27, 2010 (UTC)
Members are invited to do whatever they want once we get to Dungeoneering. The issue is that we simply cannot do Dungeoneering any other time than last. If this where not the case, I would have otherwise added a split event to the end. Magic-icon.pngStelercusIlluminated Book of Balance.png 09:38, April 27, 2010 (UTC)

I am disappointed; skillers will be excluded from almost all of the fest. ShinyUnown T | C | E 01:14, April 27, 2010 (UTC)

Question - Do we HAVE to go to Clan Wars? I don't wanna die on the way!!! AND Which world we go on?? --Jeffwang16 01:45, April 27, 2010 (UTC)

Then don't show up for the clan wars aspect. We go to clan wars every year, and we are not going to get rid of it over something so silly as that. Luckily, there will be plenty of other wikians to absorb the blows. Magic-icon.pngStelercusIlluminated Book of Balance.png 09:38, April 27, 2010 (UTC)

Comment - Sounds awesome, but do we really need 15 minutes to pick cabbages?

MagicSa1axLogFishing

01:51, April 27, 2010 (UTC)

Well, since you can get 271 cabbages per inventory using sacks, and perhaps 562 if you use a Pack yak, it might take a bit. ShinyUnown T | C | E 01:54, April 27, 2010 (UTC)

OR sacks. So we really don't need that much time at all. 07:04, April 27, 2010 (UTC)

Support almost all suggestions - Very nice improvements you've made, Steler. I'm glad measures are finally being taken to control the crowd, as things such as muting the CC have been quite controversial in previous Wikifests. Hopefully, the extra organization will make this the best Wikifest yet. However, I do not wish to run or assist in running it this time.

I really effed up last time; I slept in and didn't even end up attending (missed it by an hour). I'm very sorry about that. Frown You might have noticed from looking on my userpage that I'm semiretired - I'm considering editing that to full retirement from this wiki, because I don't play RuneScape anymore. You seem to have the Wikifest completely under control, and I'm sure it will be better than the last. Good luck Steler. Telos 06:44, April 27, 2010 (UTC)

Comment - Although there probably will still be some chaos, the improvements should decrease the rate of chaos. Nice ideas Wink. bad_fetustalk 09:53, April 27, 2010 (UTC)

Comment- My second wikifest! Smile I'd love to come, but I obciously can't if it's at midnight. My timezone is GMT+2 (summer time), and I'll be asleep at 00:00. User_talk:Fswe1 Fswe1 Brassica Prime symbol.png 13:55, April 27, 2010 (UTC)

It's probably not going to be at midnight for your time zone. 00:00 represents the start of the fest as the actual time has not yet been determined. Magic-icon.pngStelercusIlluminated Book of Balance.png 18:55, April 27, 2010 (UTC)

Comment to Stelercus - I think it's more practical to run the group activities at the end. Go from the meet and greet and Costume Competition to the Cabbage Bombing, and save FoG, Clan Wars, and Dungeon to the end. The Cabbage Bombing will get people into it the fest a bit, pick up some more people for the group events, and then we can merge and split as we see needed towards the end, rather then the beginning. We can still end with Dungeon, but put Clan Wars or FoG before it.

Hmm. Then we could end up with the same schedule as last time. I personally don't see a big problem with wikifests being repetitive if we found a system that we can enjoy, though I am sure many disagree. Magic-icon.pngStelercusIlluminated Book of Balance.png 18:58, April 27, 2010 (UTC)
The way I see it, the current activities chosen is a duplicate of the last one, apart from the Dungeoneering at the end. If changing the schedule to a near exact copy of the last one is what needs to be done to keep things simple and clear, do it, imho. Chicken7 >talk 06:40, April 28, 2010 (UTC)

For example, the hide and seek is a complete mess that could be solved by using Faruq's hide and seek stuff. If cost is an issue, I would be happy to donate as many rings as needed to the event. If a race is planned the other items should be used too. The tools are there to make it successful, they just need to be used ‎20px‎AtlandyBeer.png 16:40, April 29, 2010 (UTC)

There doesn't seem to be a race, but I agree that hide and seek equipment should be used. bad_fetustalk 19:04, April 29, 2010 (UTC)

Question How will we know who has signed up for the costume contest? If we make a list, I predict that many people wont know about it and wont sign up. If we have a clan chat that can be muted there wont be as much spam as last wikifest. That makes judging easier so we wont need to sign up, possibly. Tin Spade 22:14, April 29, 2010 (UTC)

Can we please just get the events organised first instead of people volunteering to do everything.  —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Ssswizmig (talk).

I think we need to understand how some things work first in order to plan the events...let's run a hide n' seek with the new tools but not know how it works? We need to see if it's a feasible idea first. 13:11, May 1, 2010 (UTC)

Comment - I'm just throwing this out there, but not expecting much of it. I own a channel called "Social Net" and many wikians may already be aware of it. It's not very active at the moment, but I'm working with the Jagex team on developing it a bit (so it'll become similar to a Mod channel meets Light Arcana channel). If we want to stir up some activity in there, it's up to you.

Early June is better because it's right after the start, if not before summer vacation starts for most people. If we have it during summer vacation itself, I bet most people will be out of town on the date of the fest. In my experience with scheduling summer dates (I have had quite a few) the first day is always best as everyone is still in town. I have not made the sign-up list yet, though there will be one as we get closer to the fest. One of the greatest downfalls of the last fest was that we had way to many people in the contest, leaving contenders on top of each other while the judges fall into chaos trying to straighten things out. In the end, I think a sign-up list would be better. Magic-icon.pngStelercusIlluminated Book of Balance.png 18:36, May 6, 2010 (UTC)
A signup list would do little. I hardly think you'll be going down the sign-up list ensuring that each and every contender officially signed up. Even then, what will you do about illegal entries? You cannot force then to move or to leave. There may be too many people, but that's how it always is and we can't do much to change that except get a larger area, as last Wikifest's was a little tight fit. A few adjustments, perhaps? - Well, for one thing, it looks like it would be a heck of a walk. I propose that the events are done in this order to lessen walking time:

  • Meet n' Greet/ Costume Contest
  • Cabbage Chaos + walk to Cabbage Pwn -ADJUSTMENT: shorten picking time to 8-10 minutes, last time it was an unnecessarily long wait after every single person had already gotten their cabbages.
  • Clan Wars
  • Fist of Guthix
  • Walk back to Varrock and begin Hide and Seek ADJUSTMENT: It should be about 30 minutes long if it will be held for everywhere in safe, F2P RuneScape. That's ALOT of area. Also, Have some sort of event(s) for those that do not want to participate.
  • Teleport to Lumbridge and walk to Duel Arena
  • For those that have Rings of Kinship, Teleport to Daemonheim. For those that do not, walk.

I thank that would be better. Comments? Additions? "this-idea-sux-amg"s? (davelopo) 14:10, May 7, 2010 (UTC)

Comment/Suggestion - Hey stelercus great job orgainising an event of this magnitude and my suggestion will only increase your workload... This may have already been adressed but. Firstly, do you know about the rswiki YouTube account (i think chicken7 is in charge of it)? I think the wikifest would be great idea for a video. What are your thoughts on this? I'm able to film it and will probably get a good portion of it. But I will need help from other wikians. As well as this would it be possible to get a large shot of a cabbage filled grand exchange or a massive clan wars battle with everyone yelling something out like "Hi YouTube!" or "For Wikia!" ?

I know this is moronically late but what I'm basically saying is that I'll be filming and would appreciate if anyone who sees this also does so we can compile a wikifest video.Quest point cape.pngTomTheTankHelmet of trials.png 12:46, May 31, 2010 (UTC)

Date and Time/Schedule change

The date has been decided, that date being the Fifth of June, so the only other thing there is to determine a time. I have asked RuneHQ if we can fight against them instead of a wiki civil war for the clan wars event, which would allow the schedule to be more flexible (if nobody has to leave the clan chat during the fest, it will make things much smoother). Until I hear back from them, I would like to hold off on the final schedule, though we are still looking for event ideas. I also hope to close up sign-ups in the volunteer section soon. Lastly (or at least that last thing that came to mind when writing this), we should pick colours for the sitenotice when we put the wiki message up and how close to the fest we should add it. Slight Revision

Event Time Details
Meet N' Greet/Costume Contest 0:00-0:30 Everyone will arrive at Falador castle, so that users can do the meet n' greet aspect somewhere, then the costume contest can be held somewhere else in the building. We could also move it to Mudskipper point again as it is more summery there, though change is always nice.
Clan Wars 0:30-1:00 First of all, I have a reason for doing clan wars first, just read on. Everyone will branch off into the two clan chats (yet to be chosen) and move to clan wars. The rules for the first war must allow food/potions, all combat types in their entirety, and multiway combat, though the multiway combat rule may be changed (the others must remain).
Fist of Guthix 1:00-1:30 Everyone will merge back into the main clan chat again and move to Fist of Guthix. Not much to say on that issue, just play fog.
Cabbage patch Chaos 1:30-1:45 A favorite event of ours, we will storm the Falador cabbage patch and attain all the cabbage we can...
Grand Exchange cabbage pwn! 1:45-2:00 The Grand Exchange will be attacked by wikians and showered with cabbage.
Duel Arena 2:00-2:30 Everyone will walk back to Al Kharid to enjoy a few rounds of dueling.
Hide and Seek 2:30-3:00 First of all, I will be sure that the fest mods do not entertain any request to hide.
Dungeoneering 3:00-? To conclude our wikifest, we will all teleport to Daemonheim at once. A count down will be given in the cc in an effort to all arrive there at the same time, if not only for the visual effect. When we get there, you are asked to enter the white free-for-all portal to be paired up with random wikians. The event essentially ends here, so you are free to move throughout the game with fellow wikians as you see fit.

The only difference is the times, this way its a little easier to keep track of when things are happening and a little more time for the event. This makes the whole event only 20 mins more. Full Slayer Helmet! Evil1888 Talk A's L Dragon Platebody! 03:25, May 15, 2010 (UTC)

It looks smoother with your half-of-an-hours.=p -- Golden warpriest of Zamorak helm.png Wingcap Firemaking master cape.png 10:00, May 16, 2010 (UTC)

Strong Oppose - While the idea of nice half-hour blocks is nice, doing that too much will unbalance things. We do not need to spend half an hour on hide and seek, that will drive a lot of people crazy after the event is half over. Some events, like duel arena and fist of guthix, should be longer than half an hour because they are more popular and can be stretched over longer periods of time. I like the concept of this schedule, but it just wont work. Magic-icon.pngStelercusIlluminated Book of Balance.png 23:23, May 17, 2010 (UTC)

I think five to seven days before the fest would be optimum timing for the sitenotice, and since your running it just pick a good color scheme yourself. We don't have to vote on everything, that slows down productivity. I hope RuneHQ goes for it, should prove a fun intermingling as long as we stress the point it is all for fun. Anyone with grudges should not participate. Good plans.--Degenret01 23:33, May 14, 2010 (UTC)

Ahh, thanks for reminding me. I am going to speak to a few of them in game that I would like to pick to make sure they really want to do it, then announce that. Magic-icon.pngStelercusIlluminated Book of Balance.png 17:50, May 28, 2010 (UTC)
..... This is the first wikifest ever to abandon the Australian time zone. So much for accepting "the whole community". Chicken7 >talk 00:31, May 29, 2010 (UTC)
They are going have to stay up late for it Full Slayer Helmet! Evil1888 Talk A's L Dragon Platebody! 00:40, May 29, 2010 (UTC)
I admit that I did not put enough thought into the time table and did ask you to change it, Chicken.

Magic-icon.pngStelercusIlluminated Book of Balance.png 00:51, May 29, 2010 (UTC)

Give Steler a break dude, he has to find a time that will suit as many users as possible, and no matter what time we pick we're going to get people either unable to come or staying up late to attend.   Swizz Talk   Events!   09:31, May 29, 2010 (UTC)

As I have said before, we are working on finding a new time table. Magic-icon.pngStelercusIlluminated Book of Balance.png 12:30, May 29, 2010 (UTC)

Comment-Anyone against moving it forwards say 6 hours? I think thats the normal wikifest time, at least each one I've attended. Agree or disagree, maybe +5 hours would be better. NZ Stewie 10:46, May 29, 2010 (UTC)

Time Table

If you have a proposed time table, put it down here. We can't have the UK users up at 9:00 PM through 11 PM for the fest, though I want the aussies to be included as well. Magic-icon.pngStelercusIlluminated Book of Balance.png 12:30, May 29, 2010 (UTC)

Meh, I found your time table teh best. bad_fetustalk 18:37, May 29, 2010 (UTC)
So you are saying brits can't stay up a little bit late but aussies need to be awake at 2am? and 6am is still early but it has to be that so it's not to late for the brits.Hunter cape (t).png Sentra246Blue hallowe'en mask.png 00:14, May 30, 2010 (UTC)
They're not telling Aussies to stay up til 2am; they're telling us to not bother coming. ^_^ Chicken7 >talk 01:03, May 30, 2010 (UTC)
I gave you, Chicken7, permission to change the time table to whatever you want a while back. Why have you not done this? Magic-icon.pngStelercusIlluminated Book of Balance.png 01:50, May 30, 2010 (UTC)
"We can't have the UK users up at 9:00 PM through 11 PM for the fest," So I guess there is no alternative. Chicken7 >talk 03:36, May 30, 2010 (UTC)
Unless there is a large outcry by British users before the end of today, we are going with the time table that keeps them up until midnight. In addition to that Unless there are several complains about the proposed schedule, it will be official by the end of today. Magic-icon.pngStelercusIlluminated Book of Balance.png 12:36, May 30, 2010 (UTC)
Now that I think of it, how many aussies are coming? If it's just Sentra (Chicken told me he cannot come already due to the date), then I don't feel that we can move the timetable forward just for him. I know it will be hard for somebody no matter what we do with the fest, though one person not being able to come is not enough to move everything. Sorry, Sentra. Magic-icon.pngStelercusIlluminated Book of Balance.png 12:41, May 30, 2010 (UTC)
If it's an appropriate time, I'll come. And you've only considered Australians who've bothered commenting here. There is me, Sentra, NZ Stewie, Calebchiam, C00l Dud, Twigy, Telos, Powers, Lvl3, Evil1888 (think), and that is only off of the top of my head. Chicken7 >talk 13:58, May 30, 2010 (UTC)
What if you all get up at four or five AM? Would that work? I know it's early, but it would make it possible for a lot more Europeans. Magic-icon.pngStelercusIlluminated Book of Balance.png 14:24, May 30, 2010 (UTC)

Comment - I think Sentra246's is what we should go with. Either the brits or the aussies get screwed, this way they both get a little screwed. BTW, can't stay up til 9pm? are there strict lights out in the uk or something? Full Slayer Helmet! Evil1888 Talk A's L Dragon Platebody! 12:38, May 29, 2010 (UTC)

Yeh in the UK if you are not in bed AND asleep by 9:01 PM you dont get foods for a week, just saying Slayer Timwac talk Fire cape.png 14:19, May 29, 2010 (UTC)

Colours - Can I propose these colours? The blue one is a bit lighter and the text is tinted green, which takes away a bit of the winter feel. The drink has also been changed to a Pineapple Punch for the same reason, though a Fruit Blast looks just as good. The orange one is blended better than above.

The Summer Wikifest '10 will be on Saturday, 5 June at 20:00 UTC! See here for more details!

Question - I'm confused. Why do the aussies need to be up a 2am? Full Slayer Helmet! Evil1888 Talk A's L Dragon Platebody! 03:14, May 30, 2010 (UTC)

We don't basically we just can't come, they can't expect us to get up that early so yeh. Hunter cape (t).png Sentra246Blue hallowe'en mask.png 05:05, May 30, 2010 (UTC)

Comment-Because thats the time stelercrus suggested above. It also means New Zealanders have to stay up until/get up at 4am. btw, I think timwac was joking. NZ Stewie 04:06, May 30, 2010 (UTC)

Comment - Everyone but Stelercus seem to like my idea so based on consensus shouldn't it be changed? Hunter cape (t).png Sentra246Blue hallowe'en mask.png 05:05, May 30, 2010 (UTC)

It's too early, you only proposed the chnage for less then 1 day.   Swizz Talk   Events!   08:52, May 30, 2010 (UTC)
I'll officially state my support for Sentra's time. I'm a regular user and I approve this message.  TLUL Talk - Contribs 06:39, May 30, 2010 (UTC)

Oppose Sentras Time - You can't make UK players stay up till 11-12pm for this, we should start at around 17:00 UTC so make it fair.   Swizz Talk   Events!   08:49, May 30, 2010 (UTC)

Sorry, but staying up until 11 is nowhere near as bad as having to get up at 2am. NZ Stewie 10:07, May 30, 2010 (UTC)
I think that means 3am, thats much better FrownHunter cape (t).png Sentra246Blue hallowe'en mask.png 11:12, May 30, 2010 (UTC)
Also this is the same UTC time as the last summer wikifest. See hereHunter cape (t).png Sentra246Blue hallowe'en mask.png 11:16, May 30, 2010 (UTC)

Oppose Sentras Time - That starts at 11:00 pm for me, no way. No eastern european users can come to that >_> bad_fetustalk 13:00, May 30, 2010 (UTC)

So you'd rather have some people start it at 2 in the morning than give them a semi-reasonable time and stay up a bit late? I'm a regular user and I approve this message.  TLUL Talk - Contribs 23:00, May 30, 2010 (UTC)

Comment - Coming to the fest will be a hardship for somebody no matter what, therefore, I would like to start the fest somewhere in the range of four to five AM for Australians. Does anyone have a serious problem with that? Magic-icon.pngStelercusIlluminated Book of Balance.png 20:21, May 30, 2010 (UTC)

I would support 5:00 am for Australians, no earlier. Staying up till 11:00 is easier than getting up at 4:00. I'm a regular user and I approve this message.  TLUL Talk - Contribs 23:00, May 30, 2010 (UTC)

Comment - Ok how about this, still really early for us but at least it won't be to bad for you.
