Hi there!

I’m a moderator of a Gold Spanish community, called “Nveon”. We have never done an event with another community, and I was wondering if Wikia could be the first community to have an event with us. The reason is our 3 year of being a community that will be in November 10.

November 10 is Wednesday, so I thought to do that at Saturday 13.

What type of event will be? FUN Clan Wars.

Time: Not fixed yet, I want to talk with Wikia administrators to fix the best hour possible.

World: 165 (Spain, F2P) | If people have so much lag we can change it.

Meeting: Clan Wars

Our clan chat: Rs_Latinos (We’ll be using that on the event)

Event: There will be different rounds, but there are some rules that in all of them will be available: safe mode ALWAYS, all styles allowed, food allowed, potions allowed, prayer allowed. Now, here is a list of the rounds (If Wikia members want to give ideas they are welcome :p)

Round Type Rules Time linit Arena
1 Knock out Ignore 5 No limit Turrets
2 First team to 25 No limit Clan Wars Classic
3 Knock out Ignore 5 2 minutes Plateau
4 Knock out Ignore 5 30 seconds Forsaken Quarry
5 Knock out Kill 'em all No limit Clan Wars Classic
Important notes
  • We are not a big community, so don’t expect lot of people. Nveon expects to have around 30 peeps (we’ll try to get 50+), but don’t worry, it won’t be easy!
  • Most players are from south America, so if possible, it would be great that the hour is good for them.

I'll can't log in for around 4 days, and I'll come back on next Tuesday-Wednesday, that's the reason why I won't answer. But I want to know if you will accept this event and if you do that you can suggest new ideas and hours - Rana Marrana

Discussion

Erm what - I believe you have to be affiliate to make things like this but really I don't know Twig Talk 772kZGs.png 20:58, October 7, 2010 (UTC)

This sounds like a fun thing to do. You should probably talk to Swizzl3d about it, as he's the main guy for community events. ʞooɔ 21:03, October 7, 2010 (UTC)

Comment - Anyone can submit an event idea. I think this would be a great idea, as long as we could move the world to a less lagier one.   Swizz Talk   Events!   21:10, October 7, 2010 (UTC)

5 matches would take quite awhile to complete, we've just come out of a 3 month tournamnt and I'm guessing people will get fed up on having one of these every week, how about just 3 matches we do in one whole day? And would making the event P2P be an option?   Swizz Talk   Events!   21:14, October 7, 2010 (UTC)

Support - I don't see why not. I have talked with Rana in-game and I suggested he bring it here as just talking with me isn't very representative of the community as a whole. (Also cleaned up formatting of post a bit per request.) Quest.png Gaz Lloyd 7:^]Events!99s 21:15, October 7, 2010 (UTC)

Support - Per Gaz. HaloTalk 22:17, October 7, 2010 (UTC)

Support - However I highly doubt it'll be on a suitable time for Eastern Hemisphere editors. 222 talk 22:59, October 7, 2010 (UTC)

Excellent Hopefully a lot of us will be available to play against your group and make it a fun time for all.--Degenret01 03:55, October 8, 2010 (UTC)

"Support" I think it would be a lot of fun. Besides, how could it hurt.

Support - I'm sure it will be fun for those whose attend. svco4bY.png3Gf5N2F.png 03:57, October 8, 2010 (UTC)

Comment - I had a little think and amazingly something came out.

I believe that fits every major country in at a reasonable timeslot? Just a thought, 222 talk 04:16, October 8, 2010 (UTC)

And what Swizz said would be better IMO, 3 matches. Say it takes 20-30 minutes to organise, start and finish each one; plus a bit of time extra, adds up to about 2 hours; that doesn't seem too long. 222 talk 04:20, October 8, 2010 (UTC)

2 of the matches are under 5 minutes.--Degenret01 04:37, October 8, 2010 (UTC)
Then 5 matches might not be that bad an idea. 222 talk 05:10, October 8, 2010 (UTC)
Dammit, I missed out Chess and the rest of Eastern Europe and Central Asia. I'm not that great a genius after all Lol 222 talk 23:44, October 8, 2010 (UTC)

Added to sitenotice To attract attention.--Degenret01 04:37, October 8, 2010 (UTC)

Isn't Oasis the default skin now, therefore no Sitenotice. 222 talk 05:10, October 8, 2010 (UTC)
And "3 year anniversary" doesn't sound right. I suggest that it be changed to "The Nveon community would like us to participate in their 3rd anniversary celebrations (or activities) with a clan wars match" 222 talk 05:12, October 8, 2010 (UTC)
Most people who would comment on this aren't using Oasis. HaloTalk 05:20, October 8, 2010 (UTC)
The site notice is on oasis now, so thats not a problem. Hunter cape (t).png Sentra246Blue hallowe'en mask.png 08:03, October 11, 2010 (UTC)

Support - Sounds like fun .Hunter cape (t).png Sentra246Blue hallowe'en mask.png 05:54, October 8, 2010 (UTC)

Comment - Do we actually need consensus on this? Can't it just be added [[RS:CE|here]]? Hunter cape (t).png Sentra246Blue hallowe'en mask.png 06:06, October 8, 2010 (UTC)

This is more of a RS:IFC type of thing, and I have already added it there. 222 talk 06:10, October 8, 2010 (UTC)
This is more of another way to bring notice to it, we do not really need consensus for a bunch of wikians to participate, although it would be cool if it was "officially endorsed" I guess.--Degenret01 09:32, October 8, 2010 (UTC)
OMFG!!! Teh bosses adminz of da wiki endorsed dis activity. I must attend or face their wrath!!!! This was definitely not added by 222 talk 09:40, October 8, 2010 (UTC)

Strong Support - Sounds like great fun to me, can't wait to attend!   Swizz Talk   Events!   15:31, October 8, 2010 (UTC)

Support - This sounds like an excellent way to celebrate! Sounds very fun to me :D Amascut symbol.png Amascut Ia Morte 17:51, October 8, 2010 (UTC)

Support - Why not? All Runescape communities thrive on a little competition. Rune battleaxe.png RangedwhipRune battleaxe.png 17:53, October 8, 2010 (UTC)

Comment - I had a browse on their website and it is very hard to follow, probably because I don't speak Spanish. Even with Google Translate it is difficult. Good luck if Swizz is going to "communicate" with them. 222 talk 23:51, October 8, 2010 (UTC)

I do spanish at school, so maybe I can do it.   Swizz Talk   Events!   07:31, October 9, 2010 (UTC)

According to 24Timezones that would be about 6 PM for our opponents, which isn't a bad time to play.

Duration - My guess: limitless games should take about 10-20 minutes each, depends on turnout; added to the short games as well as some extra time for assembly... It should last about one hour if both parties turn up on time.

World - A less lagier world than 165. World 1? jks

Rules - Safe mode all games, all styles allowed, food allowed, potions allowed, prayer allowed.

And basically what they said above.

Swizz can take this to their forums and see what happens. 222 talk 04:52, October 10, 2010 (UTC)

Arbitrary discussion section

Huh? Spain is an hour ahead of UK time. Are they exclusively spanish, or spanish speaking, because that kinda makes a difference. If they are actually spanish then an earlier time would be preferable. Henneyj 05:02, October 10, 2010 (UTC)

The majority of their members are South American apparently. 222 talk 05:08, October 10, 2010 (UTC)
Hmm that would work then I guess. I'd imagine that we have more members than them so I'm not sure that we need a huge turnout. Found this on their forums which might be worth the look for those of a spanish speaking mind: [1]
--Henneyj 05:23, October 10, 2010 (UTC)

Slow Down - Stop rushing things, this was only proposed a few days a go and the guy should have some say in this. Just let come back and we'll organise some more.   Swizz Talk   Events!   09:42, October 10, 2010 (UTC)

That's why I want to to take it to their forums, since you can speak Spanish. 222 talk 09:55, October 10, 2010 (UTC)

Comment - First, go here and then type http://www.nveon.com/comunidad/index.php?topic=3095.0 into the translator bar. It translates a few of the well-spelled posts on each page. I think they may be bagging us out 0_o - [Pharos] 10:03, October 10, 2010 (UTC)

Oh, you have to click this thing in the middle of the page for it to translate the whole thing. Wow, most of it actually translates, and you can guess the missing words. - [Pharos] 10:07, October 10, 2010 (UTC)

Support - Fighting a bunch of people yelling at each other in Spanish? COUNT ME IN!--Cheers, Off-hand ascension crossbow.pngYodaAscension crossbow.png 23:43, October 11, 2010 (UTC)

Comment - Hi again :p! (I think that for replying I have to edit, so I did that). I saw 2 suggestions, one is the world. There's no problem for world 165, we can do that on it or another world, as you want, but I think w165 will be fine. Secondly, someone said at 9UK. If possible it would be better at 10 UK (Spain 23:00). The reason is that most of them are having dinner and not a lot of people would come. If you have more suggestions/questions I'll answer as fast as I can ;) - Rana Marrana October 13, 2010

Well, maybe yes, but if we do it earlier latin people will be having dinner, and 10PM isn't too late if if we are talking about Saturday. It will last in around 1 hour or less, so it won't be too late. Rana Marrana October 13, 2010
You'll have to ask the Poms (sorry, I mean Lol) UK if it is too late; since I'm from East Aus 9am is a much better time. 222 talk 09:38, October 16, 2010 (UTC)

Two battle times?

If there's so much conflict between the battle times why can't we have a US/Latino/South America one and a UK/European/Aussie one? --中亚人/中亞人 (Chinasian/Jeffwang16) 跟我谈话 14:16, October 17, 2010 (UTC)

The idea is to have our site versus theirs. They're Latino/South America/Spanish and we're mostly Europe/US/Australia. Also, considering Australia is on the other side of the world to the UK it's almost impossible to get both of us to fight together.   Swizz Talk   Events!   18:45, October 17, 2010 (UTC)
I meant a US/UK/Europe vs Latino/South America one and then the Aussies... erm... idk. --中亚人/中亞人 (Chinasian/Jeffwang16) 跟我谈话 23:36, October 17, 2010 (UTC)
Is there too much conflict between the times? Point me where it says that, personally I think it's fine for the UK considering it is a Saturday night, also we can't do two separate fights because this is another fansite vs. us; not ourselves and ourselves in a Wikifest. 222 talk 05:40, October 18, 2010 (UTC)
In Spain will be at 21:00, 1 hour later than UK :p Rana Marrana - October 18, 2010

Maybe we should use a different cc, as not everyone in R S Wikia will be taking part in the event. RS:CE is currently making an account, we could use that. Hunter cape (t).png Sentra246Blue hallowe'en mask.png 08:46, October 25, 2010 (UTC)
I'm guessing one of you eager Australians made a cc. Meaning we can't use that cc all the time due to time differences.   Swizz Talk   Events!   08:51, October 25, 2010 (UTC)
How come when Swizz says 'Australians' it sounds like an insult >_<. But he is right, whoever makes it needs to be on or we're stuffed :/ And it's a bad time for Aussies that aren't lazy bastards (so me and 90% of Australia are out) - [Pharos] iPhone Edit 12:52, October 25, 2010 (UTC)

Well, Sentra, Swiz and I all have access to the account which I think is plenty. Yes, I know it is account sharing, but it the better than making at least 4 throwaway accounts every year, and easier too; we only have to remember "Wiki Events".
