Forum:RuneScape:Page Maintenance addition
Discussions other than Yew Grove threads have already started to die out quite a while ago, and even though we added the page maintenance project page, there is still not a lot of discussion on them. It is even worse for the [[RS:RFC|requests for comment]]. There are a lot of RfCs, and nobody answers any of them. Usually comment is not requested for no reason, but still almost all of the pages that need comments, are just ignored because (almost) nobody checks the RFC page. I suggest we add another section to the page maintenance page, with a limited amount of RFCs in a similar way as on the PM and RFC pages now. Because currently the Yew Grove is also dying down a bit, I suggest we add a clear notice at the top that the seperate page maintenance discussions are listed at PM, to get more comment on those. I hope this will increase activity on those discussions, and also get things that need comments resolved more quickly.
Support - As long as the pages already listed on RS:PM are removed, then this should help get these pages have more activity as they are quite lacking.09:02, May 19, 2011 (UTC)
Get rid of RFC Wjen I see it it is usually non applicable, or called for in a thread that will require laborious amounts of work from several people to accomplish the consensus. This is why it gets ignored. It has no viability anymore, it has been overused so inappropriately that it no longer draws attention.--Degenret01 13:06, May 19, 2011 (UTC)
Remove RfCs - There are dead discussions with December. Nobody checks them because they're basically discussions about minor things. They're completely useless, adding them to RS:PM will just waste people's time. Real Crazy 14:22, May 19, 2011 (UTC)on them from
Comment - If there are important things going on on talk pages, how will people be attracted to those talk pages? If we would advertise RFC some more, and keep the list short with only RFCs that are not as pointless as some of the current ones are. I do agree with Degen, but I think that for some discussions there should still be a way to get more input on the discussion. The amount of times RFC will be used just has to be reduced. That would probably stimulate more people to comment on these things. JOEYTJE50TALK pull my finger 12:41, May 20, 2011 (UTC)
Support/Remove RFC - RFCs seem to be rather useless, maybe no one has anything more to add to a topic, no need to let it sit around.00:21, May 21, 2011 (UTC)
