Since Scoot requested here I guess I will too. Normally only administrators are given operator status but the channel has usually no ops when I am online (BTW I'm Aussie). When I go online I immediately go on IRC. So for that reason I am requesting IRC op. I will only use my powers for good not evil. =D, —Manyman (talk) 11:41, June 29, 2010 (UTC)

Support - We did need one especially today.Hunter cape (t).png Sentra246Blue hallowe'en mask.png 11:43, June 29, 2010 (UTC)

Support - Plus I should have ops, but I don't. Who do I ask about that? RJXSBucket detail.pngrwojy 11:47, June 29, 2010 (UTC)

No, admins aren't auto-opped. You need to request it. I think... ajr 15:12, June 29, 2010 (UTC)
I think you just need to ask Christine or Karlis as they responded to Quarenon here then here.Hunter cape (t).png Sentra246Blue hallowe'en mask.png 13:17, June 30, 2010 (UTC)

Support/Comment - We had a user claiming to use bots in there last night. He should have been kicked and banned, but no such thing happened. Also, I might want to request my op-ship back one of these days...not now, but one of these days... 7kyt1iT.gif --WINE OF GOOD HEALTH (Actually Stinko) 14:51, June 29, 2010 (UTC)

I believe in warnings, I was not there at the time, but the 2nd time someone cam in talking about bots i told them not to and they left. If you want to request ops again, go for it. You are very active and almost always there. scoot4.pngscooties 04:44, June 30, 2010 (UTC)

Oppose - Nothing against you personally, but you are hardly ever actually active on the IRC. Beyond that, when you are active there is always at least one other op around. Sorry, but I see no need. ajr 14:56, June 29, 2010 (UTC)

Oppose - Per Ajr. You really do come in a bit, but in my opinion, not enough to deserve op. Even when you are in the channel, you don't talk much, you are often marked as away also. Same as Ajr, nothing against you, but I need to be honest. scoot4.pngscooties 19:17, June 29, 2010 (UTC)

Neutral - Since there is no ignore feature on the IRC (that I know of) I believe there should be a more abundant amount of users with OP permissions. Just because someone does not talk does not mean they do not watch the chat. In all honesty some of the topics are not always appealing for someone to engage in. xScoobsx Talk Contribs 19:56, June 29, 2010 (UTC)

There are about 4 other users not including myself that are active in the IRC. Since you don't need op flags to idle in a channel, why not give it to one of the active ones? Also, it's like the CC. Why do we need more ops? We usually have at least two on at a time. ajr 20:03, June 29, 2010 (UTC)
Additionally, there is an ignore feature. Try /ignore username. ajr 20:08, June 29, 2010 (UTC)
Oh, I was under the impression that there was no way to ignore users. If that's true then I have always been one to say just ignore the user and wait for a ranked user to get online. Changing to neutral then. xScoobsx Talk Contribs 20:10, June 29, 2010 (UTC)
And I'mma fixing your spelling ;) ajr 20:11, June 29, 2010 (UTC)
I"d just like to point out that /ignore is a client feature. Not all clients are capable of it. I've generally seen the channel without ops around the time that Manyman is on, except for the occasional Tua_Scoot. I'm a regular user and I approve this message.  TLUL Talk - Contribs 23:22, July 1, 2010 (UTC)
/msg chanserv is also *technically* a client feature, however, like /ignore, basically every client has it. ajr 23:24, July 1, 2010 (UTC)
Yes, but I've never seen a client without the /msg command. I have used some without an /ignore command though. This isn't really relevant anyway, I suppose. I'm a regular user and I approve this message.  TLUL Talk - Contribs 07:13, July 2, 2010 (UTC)
/Silence *!*@Hostmask will also silence a user, and example of this is seen in my hostmask /Silence *!*@radomin.Rsbnc.Net RSN: Warthog Rhys Talk Completionist's cape... Coming soon. 14:01, July 2, 2010 (UTC)

Support - I often found spammers in the channel without anyone to kick it. (I was thinking about requesting IRC op too, but I'm very busy since school started) willwill Talk 13:55, July 2, 2010 (UTC)

Request for closure - No consensus. ajr 23:45, July 7, 2010 (UTC)

Closed - Manyman will not become an IRC op. Andrew talk 00:30, July 8, 2010 (UTC)
