In Forum:JSBot, User:JSBot, controlled by User:Ikin, was granted the bot flag to do maintenance tasks from requests on the IRC. Given her continued actions, I do not believe that she has the our trust anymore. Regardless of the outcome of the Block Ikin thread, I would like to remove the bot flag from JSBot due to the mentioned trust issues. If needed, someone else can take up that task. (User:TLULbot does roughly the same tasks on demand in the IRC.) --LiquidTalk 21:29, December 2, 2010 (UTC)

Strong support - As nominator. --LiquidTalk 21:29, December 2, 2010 (UTC)

Strong Oppose - Unless she has done anything to make vandal/negative contributions, she should keep the bot flag, regardless of IRC. HaloTalk 21:36, December 2, 2010 (UTC)

Well... For now, I say remove the flag, per omnomnom. If Forum:Block Ikin is unsuccessful, return it, as the discussion would have agreed that Ikin doesn't deserve a block, and that she should be allowed to edit; and she uses her bot to do that. If the forum is successful, and Ikin is blocked, leave the bot unflagged - if Ikin can't use it, what's the point in it having a flag? Real Crazy 21:38, December 2, 2010 (UTC)

Neutral pending the outcome of Forum:Block Ikin - Let's wait and see what happens with that thread. We can obviously keep a close watch on her bot, but I haven't seen any malicious edits with her bot. ʞooɔ 21:39, December 2, 2010 (UTC)

Comment - The community agrees that what Ikin did was unexcusable. The opposition is merely concerned that IRC affairs are moving to the wiki. Let me remind you that JSBot was proposed as a joint IRC and WIKI bot. It operates from the IRC. Therefore, I believe that if she violates her end of the bargain on the IRC side, there is no reason to allow her to keep the flag on the wiki side, since both are equally important and interconnected. --LiquidTalk 21:44, December 2, 2010 (UTC)

Pending Support - consensus on Forum:Block Ikin. Per Psycho (below). 222 talk 22:00, December 2, 2010 (UTC)

Comment- If it matters, she used he bot to get my IP address which she used for the attack

Yes, there are other ways of getting a website's IP but she used her bot to get it. Full Slayer Helmet! Evil1888 Talk A's L Dragon Platebody! 22:07, December 2, 2010 (UTC)

Well I could have done the same with rScripts !ip command, so what does that prove? Should rScript also get removed for that? --Farming cape (t).png Ikin Talk 04:33, December 3, 2010 (UTC)
You still used your bot in a way it was not approved for. Full Slayer Helmet! Evil1888 Talk A's L Dragon Platebody! 04:39, December 3, 2010 (UTC)
<Evil|HTML> yes, that and the ip lookup
<Evil|HTML> your bot was approved for images only
<Evil|HTML> nothing more
<Megan> evil
<Megan> irc bot was for the wikia-cod
<Evil|HTML> no
<Megan> not here
<Megan> so shut up
<Evil|HTML> this is not wikia-cod
<Evil|HTML> go there
<Evil|HTML> and leave us
<Megan> I am there.
<Evil|HTML> then leave us

I use my irc bot for that, a irc bot that's not effecting the wikia and has nothing with the wikia to do, it's only for wikia-cod btw nice little touch with the "and leave us". --Farming cape (t).png Ikin Talk 04:42, December 3, 2010 (UTC)

You bot should only be used in a way it was approved of and IP look-up was not in the one of those ways. This is not the cod wiki and our IRC is not #wikia-cod. And yes, leave us. I'll say it here. Kindly, leave us. Full Slayer Helmet! Evil1888 Talk A's L Dragon Platebody! 04:48, December 3, 2010 (UTC)
rScript doesn't have it on the page, that's pretty much the same I made that command for cod but haven't locked it because I was to lazy if you look at some commands you'll see that they are locked like fml and stuff. --Farming cape (t).png Ikin Talk 05:04, December 3, 2010 (UTC)

Comment - This should probably be flowing into Forum:Block_Ikin. Oh, and on another note, she's not doing any damage with JSBot, right? Having to unflag a bot has never happened before while I was here. --中亚人/中亞人 (Chinasian/Jeffwang16) 跟我谈话 22:55, December 2, 2010 (UTC)

Just because it's never happened doesn't mean it can't. --Andorin (Talk) (Contribs) 22:58, December 2, 2010 (UTC)
...And you shouldn't jump to conclusions. I was just expressing my opinion. --中亚人/中亞人 (Chinasian/Jeffwang16) 跟我谈话 23:01, December 2, 2010 (UTC)
What do you mean it never happened? --LiquidTalk 23:03, December 2, 2010 (UTC)
I think he means removing it from someone punitively or as a precaution. ʞooɔ 23:06, December 2, 2010 (UTC)

Strong support - I want to close this thread. Its quite obvious that the people who don't support her blocking will not support removing the bot flag, and I think very few people who support blocking her will not also support removing the bot flag. The way I see it, her bot flag should be removed and if she wants it back, she will have to start another thread when the block expires. A bot flag is a symbol of trust from the community and clearly the community is not very trusting of her at this point. kitty.pngPsycho Robot talkSilver bar.png 01:54, December 3, 2010 (UTC)

Oppose - Her bot is very useful to more people than just her. Hunter cape (t).png Sentra246Blue hallowe'en mask.png 06:20, December 3, 2010 (UTC)

Comment - " (User:TLULbot does roughly the same tasks on demand in the IRC.) " - Not that many, we have 3 same commands (Crop, Deshadow and updateref). --Farming cape (t).png Ikin Talk 07:44, December 3, 2010 (UTC)

Oppose The bot should be blocked for as long as Ikin gets blocked, but not unflagged. Despite all that has happened, I still trust Ikin not to use her bot to attack the wiki. Its like a friend you can trust with money but not your gf, or vice versa. Maybe we ca't trust her to not be rude to Evil, but she has not done anything to the wiki. And for the record, I am supporting a block on Ikin.--Degenret01 08:19, December 3, 2010 (UTC)

Strong Support - Psycho put it quite well. Magic-icon.pngStelercusIlluminated Book of Balance.png 10:41, December 3, 2010 (UTC)

Strong Support - I see it as a useless robot, since she states she uses it on the CoD Wiki, not here, and she abused her bot on the IRC by asking it to give her Evil's assignment details so she can attack it. And the robot is quite useless here on the wiki itself, even if Ikin doesn't get blocked, the bot should. My 1337 b0w1337rng3r|Talk Har har, my wikia bird, T-Hawk! 11:14, December 3, 2010 (UTC)

Firstly she does use it here and so do some other users like myself, so it is not useless. It is actually very helpful. Hunter cape (t).png Sentra246Blue hallowe'en mask.png 11:33, December 3, 2010 (UTC)
True, but correct me if I understood everything wrong, she did abuse it on the IRC to attack Evil's website, right? My 1337 b0w1337rng3r|Talk Har har, my wikia bird, T-Hawk! 12:19, December 3, 2010 (UTC)
She did use a tool on her irc bot that told her the information of the server evil was using. Hunter cape (t).png Sentra246Blue hallowe'en mask.png 12:22, December 3, 2010 (UTC)
Not really, if you could be on my screen you would have seen I used the "cmd.exe"'s ping command to get the ip (Mostly used the bot's ping to see if it was dead yet :/) . --Farming cape (t).png Ikin Talk 12:58, December 3, 2010 (UTC)
What I meant was, did the bot help her get the information needed so she can attack his website? If not, I would apologize for any inconvenience caused here by me. My 1337 b0w1337rng3r|Talk Har har, my wikia bird, T-Hawk! 12:26, December 3, 2010 (UTC)
She used a command on her bot to get the information about evil's server, but didn't use the bot to do the attack. Hunter cape (t).png Sentra246Blue hallowe'en mask.png 12:28, December 3, 2010 (UTC)
So she DID use the bot to get information about evil's web so she could maliciously attack! My 1337 b0w1337rng3r|Talk Har har, my wikia bird, T-Hawk! 12:34, December 3, 2010 (UTC)
Yes she used her IRCbot, which doesn't need a botflag to run, to get it. Hunter cape (t).png Sentra246Blue hallowe'en mask.png 12:37, December 3, 2010 (UTC)
Well, you have a point there OMG!, but I think I'll change my support to Psycho's view. And sorry for any inconvenience I have done to you =D.
And thanks again for telling me.My 1337 b0w1337rng3r|Talk Har har, my wikia bird, T-Hawk! 12:45, December 3, 2010 (UTC)

Strong Support - Per Psycho's view. My 1337 b0w1337rng3r|Talk Har har, my wikia bird, T-Hawk! 12:45, December 3, 2010 (UTC)

Strong Support - Per Psycho. bad_fetustalk 15:11, December 3, 2010 (UTC)

Oppose - Her behaviour does not influence how well she can run a bot. If I'm not mistaken, other users use it as well, so removing the bot flag deprives the other users from using what is ultimately, a helpful bot. --Callofduty4 15:55, December 3, 2010 (UTC)

Support - The bot, NO, in fact the account JSBot, is hers, and it is recorded to be used in unauthorized way. This is a good enough reason to remove the flag. It also secures the edits during the period very much. (If you don't block a bot, the user can login into it even if the user account is blocked.) Rewlf2 16:38, December 3, 2010 (UTC)

Notice - I've issued JSBot a block for the time being, considering that it's owner has been blocked as well. Magic-icon.pngStelercusIlluminated Book of Balance.png 23:04, December 3, 2010 (UTC)

Support - Per Psycho. svco4bY.png3Gf5N2F.png 15:21, December 4, 2010 (UTC)

Support - Again, I am still skeptical of the owner's behavior, which is why I never supported the bot flag in the first place. The bot tasks are still not well defined, leaving a large gap for misuse. Farming cape (t).png Lil cloud 9 Talk 14:05, December 5, 2010 (UTC)

How? Hunter cape (t).png Sentra246Blue hallowe'en mask.png 05:29, December 6, 2010 (UTC)
Probably the AddA[[:File:Default user.png|A]]. That is not natural AA actually, and as evrything in runescape is made with a wireframe, evrything is angular, and that AA is not. JOEYTJE50TALKpull my finger 11:45, December 6, 2010 (UTC)
I had no idea that JSbot was doing that. Has it done it to lots of files? That was not in the list of functions for the bot. kitty.pngPsycho Robot talkSilver bar.png 02:55, December 7, 2010 (UTC)
i searched for AA in his log entries. Unless the style of summaries has changed halfway, searching for +AA results in them all. I could luckily not find a lot, and some of them had new versions. I don't think it has done it very often. I am at a too laggy computer to scroll trough all the log entries. JOEYTJE50TALKpull my finger 11:59, December 7, 2010 (UTC)
I have looked through the file contribs and reverted all cases where aa was applied to a non aa, except in instances where it actually improved the quality, such as [[:File:Rune med armour equipped.png]] kitty.pngPsycho Robot talkSilver bar.png 21:12, December 7, 2010 (UTC)

Strong Support - Based on what I've seen here and other places, it is not safe to let her continue running this bot on our wiki. We already have a good number of bots doing everything that's tedious/the community wants, so this bot isn't even necessary. I say if we don't trust the user, we don't trust the bot. Besides, the fact that she found and used Evil's IP is not acceptable. From what I can see, Ikin doesn't care about our rules, regulations, and policies, so I say we don't care about her and tell her to take a hike. Zaros symbol.pngChaos Monk Talk SignCoins 250.png 22:34, December 11, 2010 (UTC)

Closed - JSBot will no longer possess the bot flag and will be required to regain it before being allowed to perform any further automated actions.--
