A simple script I wrote a little while back is for rewriting URLs if it's a redirect and replacing the redirect with the proper URL in your browser history. To test it, enable JS test mode using the sidebar module on [[MediaWiki:Common.js]] (monobook users can click [{{fullurl:MediaWiki:Common.js|useskin=oasis}} here] to see it) and go to page via a redirect such as KBD. After a second, you should notice that the URL is now /wiki/King_Black_Dragon instead of the expected KBD. You may need to go into debug mode to avoid caching, which you can do with ?debug=1, e.g.

I borrowed the idea from wikipedia, e.g. wikipedia:Obama, and think it looks a bit more professional and avoids people noticing redirects if they find them from searching, e.g. King black, kk, etc. Ideally it'd be handled by search suggestions, but they've been semi-broken for years.

I addition to seeing if you like it, I'd appreciate it if people could have a play with it to see if it breaks in weird circumstances.
