If you look on Recurring Methods it lists a bunch of super useful methods of making money in quick 2-3 min intervals however the options are limited by growth times, daily resets, and other factors. I don't think that the buy limit should reduce these methods or else many of the methods listed at Money making guide should be moved to that location. Ex. Tanning black dragonhide since if using the GE buy limits you should only be able to tan 10k every 4hrs not 60k/hr.

|.) Move the recurring methods Transmuting onyx dust,Recharging rings of Wealth (there's 3 of this?), and [[Money making guide/Making perfect juju prayer potions|Making perfect juju prayer potions]] in to the regular money making section and recalculate the profit and provide advice to pre-puchase the supplies

2.) Or move all the money making methods listed in the regular section to recurring like all d-hide tanning and calculate the profit for instance

1 for sure As the guy who made the proposal I way prefer 1. However if we don't all agree I would like either 1 or 2 for consistency so it is easy to compare options in such a way jericowrahl (talk) 23:22, 2 January 2019 (UTC)

Weak support 2 - Treating something like onyx dust where 24 hours worth of buy limits gives you enough materials to work for less than 2 minutes the same as methods you can literally use as much as you want doesn't feel like a useful thing to do in my opinion - nobody will be able to do them for a meaningful length of time anyway. -Hourglass (2011 Hallowe'en event) detail.png I Am Not You Talk III The Spark.png- 12:59, 3 January 2019 (UTC)\

Comment - true but as a counter 24hrs of buying black d-hide gives you only one hr of work it's more (substantially more) but only 1/24 of your buying time is usable as worked hrs that is a super low ratio jericowrahl (talk) 15:19, 3 January 2019 (UTC)
Sure, I'd definitely support making the tanning ones (1/24 for dragonhides) or some others like crafting ganodermic leggings(that one needs a rewrite regardless of what we end up doing tbh) recurring, but looking into it there are some cases that aren't so obvious. I'm torn on making tuna potatoes (1/8 for all resources) and making ruby rings from bars (~1/7,5 for rubies), and probably wouldn't support crafting mud runes (~1/1,9 for lumber yard teleports), cleaning grimy toadflax (1/2 for the grimy herbs), or even [[Money making guide/Transmuting runite ore|transmuting runite ore]] (1/2,5 for incandescent energy). So, yeah, on second thought I can't actually support making all guides with restrictive GE limits recurring, but I still maintain that making transmuting onyx dust et all non-recurring is not useful. I'm not sure where I'd put the cutoff point, but I definitely feel there should be one - I guess that means I oppose both proposals? -Hourglass (2011 Hallowe'en event) detail.png I Am Not You Talk III The Spark.png- 16:48, 3 January 2019 (UTC)
Comment - Ok I see your point and i agree with you so maybe we should change this discussion from "Do we put all things limited by the GE in recurring or in regular" to "At what rate should the GE limit determine what kind of guide it will be" jericowrahl (talk) 18:24, 3 January 2019 (UTC)

Comment - I think all MMGs should now reflect the limit/4 hours. Already some guides I made are like this, which was inconsistent with other guides, like tanning hides, that I just changed. The extra limits can be put in the details if a player is able to buy it outside the GE. That said, I can now see moving some recurring MMG to the main part as those are time gated methods, apart from the GE. Comment - I really like this idea it seems consistent with Alchemy Calculator's column for "max profit" referring to the max amount of profit as limited by GE but limits and the casting speed of high alch and would allow for someone to understand the reasonable amount of profit that can be expected for any given hour in a day based on that particular method jericowrahl (talk) 19:25, 3 January 2019 (UTC)

Closed - there is not really consensus to change these money making guides. Magic logs detail.pngIsobelJTalk page 21:28, 1 February 2019 (UTC)
