I'm not sure whether this is important enough to be put in the Yew Grove, but I'll discuss it anyway. it's been bothering me for quite a long time now; the multiple appearing on the left side of the article. For example; Vyrewatch or Silif. I think nobody really cares how the Vyrewatch-chatheads differ, or how Silif looks in several stages.

So my solution would be to display one chathead at the time, and simply use the

<choose>, </choose>

to vary the chatheads.

Like this:

<option>[[File:Vyrewatch chathead.png]]</option>
<option>[[File:Vyrewatch chathead female.png]]</option>
<option>[[File:Vyrewatch chathead male.png]]</option>

... which would result in:

Oppose - It's an okay idea, but I don't see why we should do it. I mean, maybe if an NPC had like 7 different chatheads we could create a gallery on the article for them, but 3 doesn't seem large enough. Whether a not a lot of people 'don't care' about the different chatheads, there are people who will. Matt (t) 10:32, December 24, 2011 (UTC)

Weak support - I agree that it looks a little disorganised, and having just one would be better. But, I worry that then people won't know there are three unless if they edit the page and check. It's be better if we maybe used the "choose" command, and also added them all to the gallery. Smile Cheers, Chicken7 >talk 15:07, December 24, 2011 (UTC)

Oppose - I like how it looks. svco4bY.png3Gf5N2F.png 16:34, December 24, 2011 (UTC)

Oppose - I really don't see any good reason why we should do this, especially since the end result would likely confuse newcomers to the Wiki who wouldn't be aware that there's more than one chathead image on an article that has the choose command used on it. It is kind of a neat idea though. [1] N7 Elite (Ready to talk now?) 16:51, December 24, 2011 (UTC)

Neutral - I am fine with how it is now, but what you are trying to do won't hurt but will take a while. Hair 16:56, December 24, 2011 (UTC)

Conditional support - It could be useful for small articles that have more than one chathead, but not enough chatheads to make a gallery. If Vyrewatch had only a few lines of text then 3 chatheads would look weird lining the page. But for larger articles I think they look nice. (: sssSp7p.pngIjLCqFF.png 20:06, December 24, 2011 (UTC)

Oppose - Use <gallery> instead. White partyhat old.png C Teng talk 20:21, December 24, 2011 (UTC)

Oppose - Mostly per Chicken. If there are too many chatheads, we should use a gallery (as is done here). A good example would be Garyzag's four chatheads. The choose thing would not work here, as the chatheads aren't substitutes for each other. User_talk:Fswe1 Fswe1 Brassica Prime symbol.png 09:59, December 26, 2011 (UTC)

Oppose - Per C7. Although I've always found it a bit messy myself, <choose> may be preferable for others. Ronan Talk 21:31, December 28, 2011 (UTC)

Closed - There is no consensus to implement the changes. If there is a large amount of chat heads or the article is really short, they may be placed into a gallery. Common sense should be used to determine if it falls into that category. svco4bY.png3Gf5N2F.png 02:59, January 4, 2012 (UTC)
