This is a relatively minor issue, but to me, it's worth bringing up. As you know, various Yew grove threads have titles that ends with exclaimation marks or apostrophes, so far so good, but, and that is, a big but, when clicking links to the threads, it invaribly tells me the thread cannot be found, because of an error, e.g. Forum:AABBCCDD? becomes (for the system) Forum AABBCCDD - note the missing mark. The system dosn't recognise threads ending with these marks, and treats them as if they do not exist, and in the end, I have absolutely no way to locate the original threads, since the system just bumps me back to that "that page does not exist" page . I tried editing the URL, using search, but to no avail, so, for the sake of even letting users finding these pages. I propose that, until this issue can be resolved, new YG threads will not end with anything other than letters or numbers. I'll go back to revising for my Triple Science now, thanks for reading. CLARIFICATION - It has come to my attention that the threads can be found if they're not buried beneath archives, e.g. can be seen on the Yew Grove page's thread software interface, but once they disappear after archiving, it's a nightmare to even attempt to find them. Some threads are, for some reason, simply missing from the archives, and URL attempts and other tries result in failure. I tried searching them, and I was given positive results, however, upon clicking on the link, it invaribly leads me back to the "page does not exist" part Explorer's ring 3.pngBtzkillerv has entered the building! Discussion

Comment - The threads that have disappeared in the forum archives is an unrelated issue, I believe. If you're typing into the URL make sure to use the codes for colons and question marks, since those characters are interpretted differently raw, %3A and %3F for : and ? respectively (also make sure to use a +, a _ or %20 for a space). This also applies to a bunch of other codes, a list of which is on the big w. Quest.png Gaz Lloyd 7:^]Events!99s 14:52, June 14, 2010 (UTC)

I've tried them already, they work for only a few threads, others just result in a "page not found" screen Explorer's ring 3.pngBtzkillerv has entered the building! Cape (blue).png 15:01, June 14, 2010 (UTC)
Then I'd say it's a separate issue. I've actually never noticed such an effect. I'm a regular user and I approve this message.  TLUL Talk - Contribs 16:43, June 20, 2010 (UTC)

Comment - There should be, and I can find no issue with punctuation marks in article's titles. I have never seen or heard of an issue with them either, until now. ajr 22:34, June 20, 2010 (UTC)

Oppose - But I will reconsider if an example can be found that does cause problems. When trying it myself (e.g. to get to the forum topic "Granularity policy?") if I use the correct URL form (ending in "Forum:Granularity_policy%3F") then it works fine. Note that "_" is another alternative for space (as well as "%20") for the URL. There used to be a problem (a couple of years back) with pages containing "+" in their name not working correctly with the Wiki, but this has been fixed now. Amaurice talk 12:50, June 22, 2010 (UTC)

Actually I'm not sure that problem was resolved entirely. (It may just be a problem with the script), but I was reporting someone with a space in their name an it added a plus sign in the space. Probably just Q's script...HaloTalk 07:44, June 25, 2010 (UTC)
That was an unrelated problem having to do with the script. It should be fixed now. --Quarenon  Talk 03:22, June 26, 2010 (UTC)

Comment - I previously reported this problem when trying to search for articles via Special:Search, but it looks like Wikia has already fixed it. If it's still happening somewhere, Special:Contact would be a good way to let Wikia know about it. --Quarenon  Talk 01:33, June 23, 2010 (UTC)
