Forum:Personal Pictures in picture form.
Hey yew grove, I'm trying to make this link into a picture (instead of just a link) but, the html form seems to just convert into links. Can anyone help me? EXAMPLE:
<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/chee_ting/4487089225/" title="Dills House 005 by Chee Ting, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4018/4487089225_0c443e44db_o.png" width="1201" height="592" alt="Dills House 005" /></a>

This is not the place for issues like this. But, I will help you. To display images from another site with wikimarkup you just put the URL ("Direct Link" under most image hosts) of the raw image. Sometimes this doesn't work as expected; in that case MediaWiki didn't see the URL as an image.15:03, April 4, 2010 (UTC)
Agreed, this is not the place for issues like this. Currently, I believe Wikia has only configured images from the wiki itself using a wikilink ([[File:Example.png]]), ImageShack, or PhotoBucket using the direct link. Hello71 15:44, April 4, 2010 (UTC)
Closed - The only way you can get an external image to display is to copy and paste a "Direct link" to the image. Also, currently only images hosted on Imageshack and Photobucket will work. 15:45, April 4, 2010 (UTC)
Thanks everyone, I decided to give up the plan on just having the pictures out in the open. Instead I'll just make a link. Thankyou to everyone who contributed.16:45, April 4, 2010 (UTC)
