This is pretty much straightforward, I'd seen that some newcomers get their edits frowned upon because they're inexperienced and blah blah, I'm not a great talker, so I'm gonna put this down, how about we actually get a direct rule that tells users to treat newcomers like everyone else. If people would think it's already straightforward, I'll do the work myself, or this can be part of RS:UTP. I havn't got time to draft a great speech on how glorious such a rule would be and how everyone should vote yes, I'm just going to propose this as it is: Don't bite the newcomers, this is going to be my last edit for quite a while, since I'm attending a cadet event next week. Comment and poke as you see fit. Explorer's ring 3.pngBtzkillerv has entered the building! Cape (blue).png 18:49, September 5, 2010 (UTC)

Strong oppose - No one bites newcomers because they're newcomers. We stick templates on their talk if they do something wrong. Otherwise, they wouldn't know that what they're doing is wrong. Banning the practice of putting newcomers on the right tract is completely irrational. --LiquidTalk 18:54, September 5, 2010 (UTC)

Strong oppose - Per Liquid + RS:NOT#WIKIPEDIA. Although I'm not a fan of the templates. I try to stick to personal messages whenever I can. HaloTalk 19:41, September 5, 2010 (UTC)

Strong Oppose - Per Liquidhelm and Halo. [1] N7 Elite (Ready to talk now?) 19:49, September 5, 2010 (UTC)

Oppose - Per those guys. We dont bite them, we lightly nibble them and then spam their talk pages with templates telling them what to do and how to do it our way. - [Pharos] 23:38, September 5, 2010 (UTC)

Oppose - UTP and UCS already cover this. Andrew talk 06:37, September 6, 2010 (UTC)

Oppose - RS:AEAE and RS:UTP covers this as they should be treated the same as a crat or wikia staff. Hunter cape (t).png Sentra246Blue hallowe'en mask.png 06:49, September 6, 2010 (UTC)
