Okay so after the many changes to the Combat Stats interface...
File:Combat Stats interface.png

the template Infobox Bonuses Beta hasn't gone through any changes and has retained a lot of the format, or look, from the old template from before the EoC was introduced. I've spent a while putting together a simple and easier-to-read template and with a little bit of CSS loading from common.css, it will be a condense, clean-coded template. I've set up the layout to best match the in-game interface, but with small minor tweaks of course, which includes the attack speed and the separated Critical bonuses because they are divided into three classes. Note that the Attack speed portion is only visible if an attack speed is specified in the template, i.e. main- and off-hand weapons with the minor exception to goliath, swift, and Spellcaster gloves as non- main- and off-hand weaponry.

Another thing you'll notice in the template I've tweaked is the Target section because the numbers are opt to change and will later hopefully be implemented in the later more sophisticated "Compare item" popup interface. This new compare item will obviously be later on after we sort out the rest of the EoC because there is a formula for deciding the target numbers when in hybrid gear, a.k.a gear not of all the same class.

  • A preview of the template I've designed can be found here.
  • Source of the template with paremeters can be found here.

Note: This is only a preview, not the final product with the parameters and such.

*Edit: I've made the template with the parameters and the use of the template (links above).

Thanks for taking the time to read this. I appreciate any feedback so please add any suggestions below.

Support - I like it. It's a great flow from the statbox in game to the wiki. Blaze_fire.png12.png 00:19, November 23, 2012 (UTC)

Support - But what do you make of this?

The reason I don't have Target ratings is because it is opt to change depending on what you're wearing. I'm sure someone will come up with a formula in the future for calculating the ratings which will then be displayed in the infobox. When they choose "Compare item", the pop-up will come up and for whatever items you have there, it will calculate the average target rating or however that is calculated./bren/tc 02:01, November 23, 2012 (UTC)
I just replied to that person, Proofy. I basically told him that we can't implement it yet until we figure out what the formula is for calculating Target rating./bren/tc 02:13, November 23, 2012 (UTC)

Comment - It looks very good, but we may have some width issues. This is about 50% wider than the current beta infobox, but we already have problems with the smaller infobox not fitting on the terrible width that Wikia gives us. Can you make it more compact? Otherwise, while it looks cool, functionality has to trump looking-like-the-interface. ʞooɔ 07:04, November 23, 2012 (UTC)

And... that is why I should strike a pose against WikiaRail... we hide that sidebar garbage, then we'd have room... enough room.
This is all we have to do to common.css:
#WikiaRail{display:none} #WikiaMainContent{width:1010px}/bren/tc 08:46, November 23, 2012 (UTC)
We shouldn't remove the rail. It's very helpful for some people including anons. Besides, will Wikia even allow it? HaidroH rune.pngEagle feather 3.pngCandle (blood red).png 1XqyDNM.png Crystal triskelion fragment 3.pngHazelmere's signet ring.png 08:53, November 23, 2012 (UTC)
Go read ToU. The Siderail is considered a core part of the skin and as such we are unable to remove it. Probably due to adverts appearing there... Also <tt> became deprecated in HTML 5. cqm 08:55, 23 Nov 2012 (UTC) (UTC)

Support - Better than it is. Although I do agree with cook, it's a little wide for the Oasis skin. Ryan PM 07:33, November 23, 2012 (UTC)

Read what I replied to Cook with... (my solution) I'm glad you guys actually pointed that out =D/bren/tc 08:46, November 23, 2012 (UTC)

Updated appearance - please check again - So with the feedback some of you have provided, I've made the template less in width. It is very comparable to the current one so there shouldn't be any width issues anymore./bren/tc 09:43, November 23, 2012 (UTC)

Looks good now. Support. ʞooɔ 08:14, November 24, 2012 (UTC)

Comment - Is it possible to centre the Damage, Accuracy, Type in their respective cells, and then do something similar for Attributes? They just look strange being opposite ends of the same cell. cqm 10:00, 23 Nov 2012 (UTC) (UTC)

That's plausible, however I'm trying to retain most of the appearance. As per the Attributes secion, it just wouldn't look right with everything towards the center. I can add some padding in there and let me know how that goes./bren/tc 10:05, November 23, 2012 (UTC)

Support - The overall look is great and easy to read, but there is only a minor opinion from me: Will it look better if we uses the original color setting to match the oasis layout? Explore and enjoy the world! TIMMMO Work it with all my heart!++Discuss Sign 15:09, November 23, 2012 (UTC)

Support - The new interface may be incomprehensible, this looks fairly understandable to publick. Kudos. There is always the width issue, but we should bug Wikia until they allow us to modify stuff in Oasis. Which sucks. A lot. Also, I got a champion's scroll, huzzah. Support - Looks hot. Ronan Talk 16:39, November 23, 2012 (UTC)

Comment - Add a section for Hit Bonus too? Adventurer's log Wahisietel (Talk) Quest map icon.png 18:15, November 23, 2012 (UTC)

What do you mean "Hit Bonus," Ben? I'm sure either damage or accuracy is what you're talking about. /bren/tc 05:39, November 24, 2012 (UTC)
If I'm not completely mistaken, hit bonus is another name for accuracy. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Cook Me Plox (talk).
Aye, they do seem to be identical, but why does Hit bonus/accuracy only show up on the mouseover stats of some weapons and not others? For most weapons you have to look at the equipment screen to see its accuracy, but why are there exceptions? The weapons that show their "hit bonus" are seemingly "special" weapons, such as Korasi's sword, the Ivandis flail, and the Enhanced excalibur. Adventurer's log Wahisietel (Talk) Quest map icon.png 10:18, November 24, 2012 (UTC)
That's an easy one to answer, Battleben. It's Jagex logic... it's all I can really say. They have this tendency to make everything inconsistent and un-uniform. Feel free to add it to the? RuneScape Flaws? page? if you'd like./bren/tc 16:12, November 24, 2012 (UTC)

Comment/request - Can we see a fully templated version before this is closed, please. --Henneyj 20:24, November 23, 2012 (UTC)

It's do-able... For that, I would need to make a few small tweaks before it would be fully functional but yeah it's possible. I'll add a link under the preview to the version with all the parameters./bren/tc 05:39, November 24, 2012 (UTC)
Just because viewing raw template code gives me a headache, can you make a usage example too? cqm 10:36, 26 Nov 2012 (UTC) (UTC)

Support - This is awesome! HaidroH rune.pngEagle feather 3.pngCandle (blood red).png 1XqyDNM.png Crystal triskelion fragment 3.pngHazelmere's signet ring.png 08:44, November 24, 2012 (UTC)

Support - Looks good. 222 talk 08:59, November 24, 2012 (UTC)

Support - I like it. It looks consistent to the Equipment Stats interface. Only thing I'm thinking about is the statistics that only show up when you mouse over it. If you could add something to the template too that'd be nice. --Recent uploads SpineTalkGuest book 02:39, November 26, 2012 (UTC)

Request - Please give it a maximum width. Whenever I view diffs on an article, the article has the same width as it does for IPs/people who don't have full width on their css. There are so many item articles where there is a huge blank space between the top of the page where the text is, and the stats box. Example: [1]. Instead of making the width dependent on how large the image is, can you think of a way to make it to where there is only one max width independent of the image size? sssSp7p.pngIjLCqFF.png 15:01, November 26, 2012 (UTC)

It's really hard to deal with WikiaRail... it's so wide and takes up so much of the valuable screen width. There's really nothing we can do about it unfortunately. :\/bren/tc 01:24, November 27, 2012 (UTC)
You can't set a max width to your infobox? How is that not possible? sssSp7p.pngIjLCqFF.png 02:17, November 27, 2012 (UTC)
A max-width can easily be set. So, why are you saying we can't do anything? Hair 03:47, November 27, 2012 (UTC)
Not when there's a table and an image that forces the width... there needs to be some sort of way to make a max width on the image, however./bren/tc 18:57, November 28, 2012 (UTC)
[[File:Image.ext|sizepx]] and style="font-size:80%;max-width:300px;" Hair 23:18, November 28, 2012 (UTC)
Hairr, you may toy around with it as much as you'd like here Smile Show me what you're talking about because I'm not sure it's possible :(/bren/tc 23:38, November 28, 2012 (UTC)

Close - The proposed layout will be used. -- Recent uploads SpineTalkGuest book 00:01, November 29, 2012 (UTC)
