I've added a link to the RS Wiki on my website and would like the wiki to add a link to my website as well.

The link to my site is http://www.rsdonline.co.cc/index&ref=rsw

Thanks

Comment - Firstly, could you please provide us with a summary of your site and tell us how you think we might mutually benefit from this connection. Also, a list of our current affiliates can be found here. - [Pharos] 14:33, August 30, 2010 (UTC)

Wow, I sound like a robotic prick...- [Pharos] 14:39, August 30, 2010 (UTC)
My website is one of only a few to offer an online RuneScape toolkit with various well coded features.

Such as highscore lookup to check player stats quickly and easily, Grand Exchange price checker so you can quickly check the price of an item (And the option to store up to 3 'favourite items' to be checked automatically) without the trouble of going to the Grand Exchange or the GE website, IRC client to offer a means of communication between fellow RuneScape players with the default server as swiftirc.

Future features to be added within the next week include ToDo list, notepad, item database (monster, npc, shops as well), timers (gravestone, skull, custom time), counters (to count the amount of rats you need to catch before getting a cat training medal, for example), combat calculator, guides and more.

The site description is:

Visit RSDemon Online to meet with hundreds of RuneScape players in a very friendly environment and use our feature-packed RuneScape client. We talk here about our favorite game, trade RuneScape items, help each other, and... have fun!

Thanks,

Comment - Basically an online SwiftKit?   Swizz Talk   Events!   14:46, August 30, 2010 (UTC)

I suppose to some extent, Yes. But I believe with the constant threat of keyloggers to PC users, people may wish to use a client that requires no software downloads. Avp909 Talk | Website

Support - Great site, I used it for about 20 minutes, easy log-in some great features. I believe this could help both sites out, maybe have links to or previews of our articles in the monster/item database? But I must say, brilliant site.   Swizz Talk   Events!   14:50, August 30, 2010 (UTC)

Comment - Thanks so much for the positive feedback, it really means a lot to me. I'll be sure to add relevant links to the RS Wiki from the database pages of my site when they're complete. Also, may I please use the RS Wiki images in my databases? Avp909 Talk | Website

I'm not sure if you can, but I don't think they're copyrighted either, maybe ask an admin?   Swizz Talk   Events!   15:00, August 30, 2010 (UTC)
We're a wiki. Of course there is no copyright. Ancient talisman.png Oil4 Talk 15:46, August 30, 2010 (UTC)
Apparently we need attribution   Swizz Talk   Events!   16:05, August 30, 2010 (UTC)
Anything on the wiki can be copied and posted anywhere. But you can't copyright things taken off of the wiki and claim they are your own. HaloTalk 16:07, August 30, 2010 (UTC)
Under Wikia's terms of free use, if you take anything from this wiki and use it on your own site, you must link back to the page that you took it from. For example, if you used one of our files, you need to put a link on the page that you are using it on linking back to that file here. ajr 16:11, August 30, 2010 (UTC)

Oppose - By looking at your list of registered users and the very little content on your website I can easily tell that this is a brand new website with little activity. I don't see how we would benefit from this link exchange. Andrew talk 21:33, August 30, 2010 (UTC)

Objection - Considering that we've only been building the actual site for under a week, I think that shows that the staff we have right now are very active and dedicated. How do you benefit from a link exchange with (For example) Runescapez.com? They have very few active members. Avp909 Talk | Website

Oppose - The main problem with this site is that it is too new. We don't know if the level of activity that you guys currently have will last. If it does, great, and this proposal should pass in a month or so. If the level of activity drops after the initial interest burns out, then I would have to oppose the affiliation with the site. So, as of now, my position is opposition. --LiquidTalk 21:57, August 30, 2010 (UTC)

Oppose - per previous similar forums of being too new and per other opposition. Also per the image, your site has been identified as dangerous which makes me dubious to the site. Ryan PM 23:00, August 30, 2010 (UTC)

Lol, edit conflict on the same issue. It told me "The website you wanted to see might transmit malicious software to your computer, or has done that before to someone else. It may also show signs of involvement in online scams or fraud Address: http://www.rsdonline.co.cc/index&ref=rsw Rating: Dangerous" svco4bY.png3Gf5N2F.png 23:01, August 30, 2010 (UTC)
What evidence does Trend Micro show to justify their claim? I'd really like to know; I would never put malicious code into any of my projects. Avp909 Talk | Website
Could it be one of your adverts? I wouldn't know as I don't visit sites flagged by Trend Micro (and I trust it within an inch of my HDD). Personally, Trend Micro Pro is the best of all programs and I wouldn't doubt it. Ryan PM 23:11, August 30, 2010 (UTC)
My website is advert free and I strive to keep it that way, where can I find a page on their website explaining why it's been flagged "Dangerous?" All I can think of is it's supposedly "Dangerous" because I have a free .co.cc domain name. Avp909 Talk | Website
Okay, I see what you mean, but then why would co.cc (the farm holder) be flagged? I'm assuming that it will do this to all of their sites now. Ryan PM 23:19, August 30, 2010 (UTC)
I've just looked at their main sites and they're flagged as well so it's not just his site. svco4bY.png3Gf5N2F.png 23:22, August 30, 2010 (UTC)
Perhaps because the majority of their users abuse the system and use co.cc domains to host malicious/scam sites. =( Avp909 Talk | Website
My Avast web scanner shows nothing wrong with it, even with sensitivity set to highest - the only message I got (from chrome and not avast) is that the IRC client digital certificate is expired; nothing up with the site. Seems Trend blocks based on web address without bothering to scan the content, a bad idea to me but whatever. Quest.png Gaz Lloyd 7:^]Events!99s 00:54, August 31, 2010 (UTC)
Thanks for checking it with Avast, I find it amusing that free web protection software in practice performs better than software people pay to use (Providing you're using Avast free, of course.). Avp909 Talk | Website

Oppose - You look like just a forum but don't have any information that i could find, so as you are not an information site i would have to oppose. Hunter cape (t).png Sentra246Blue hallowe'en mask.png 06:07, August 31, 2010 (UTC)

Not yet - Per opposers. 222 talk 06:54, August 31, 2010 (UTC)

Comment - I think this site has great potential, maybe a link exchange isn't good, but is there any way we can send some of our talented users to go an help them out?   Swizz Talk   Events!   09:05, August 31, 2010 (UTC)

As the most talented user in all of wikia, I would love to go help =P. Bad jokes aside, we could put up a message on the sitenotice for say a week? This would get a sufficient amount attention from our users. - [Pharos] 09:18, August 31, 2010 (UTC)

Comment - Avp, you just further backed up what I was saying earlier about your site being too new. You've only been around a week. Obviously that means you need to establish yourselves a bit more before we agree to a link exchange. Andrew talk 20:28, August 31, 2010 (UTC)

Closed - We will not affiliate with Avp's site at this time. He is welcome to reapply at a later date. --LiquidTalk 19:02, September 5, 2010 (UTC)
