So, I am considering building 24 (soon to be 25 heh heh) full tables of all abilities unlocked at each level up for each skill. I have a an example for prayer here: User:Dark avorian/Sandbox. Normally I would simply try and get some interest and be bold. However when I tried to add the table to prayer I was reverted by an admin. see my talk page User_talk:Dark avorian. They said that It was redundant and unnecessary, however I would argue that redundancy it sometimes necessary for the sake of ease of access. Obviously this would be an intensive process. I am putting this here because I posted the idea on this recent yew grove thread: Forum:Gallery Request. (Note that I would not suggest using a separate image of each scroll)Dark avorian 18:30, March 21, 2010 (UTC)

Oppose - I thought that was already discussed here. The idea of full level up messages was rejected, and most people did not like the idea of level up messages only for the levels where new abilities were unlocked either. --LiquidTalk 18:33, March 21, 2010 (UTC)

I was not referring to some sort of ridiculous gallery of all the scrolls, nor was I asking for some compressed gallery of scrolls. I was saying I want to make a table where one can say..huh...what will i get at level 80 magic? and they look, and everything's there... (charge, blood blitz, string jewelry, deflect that dagon'hai's spell back at him, c5 mage staff and armour), there is nowhere on the wiki or in RS where one can simply look and see all of that Dark avorian 18:40, March 21, 2010 (UTC)
Oh. It helps when I read <.< --LiquidTalk 18:41, March 21, 2010 (UTC)

Support - i think thats a smashing good idea!

Support/Neutral - I like it! The only thing is: A) You need to make it look prettier :P B) It takes up a bit too much space... do you think you could possibly make it so there could me maybe 4 levels per line? Lucario621 20:23, March 21, 2010 (UTC)

Ummm here ---

Construction
Level 32 You can now make: A Games Room, an Oak workbench, Oak kitchen tables, and a Boxing ring
Level 33 You can now make: Stone fireplaces, Oak larders, and Cushioned cat baskets
Level 34 You can now make: A Crafting table 3, Steel ranges, Large oak beds, Oak shelves 1, Glove racks, and Oak prize chests

Support as a subpage - Most of the skill articles are already quite large, and adding a table with 99 rows will just make each article even larger and harder to read. A subpage is a good altrenative since it adds the information and does not bloat the article unnecessarily. Air rune.png Tollerach hates SoF Fire rune.png 20:29, March 21, 2010 (UTC)

Oh god, I should mention that, It definitely should be a subpage, I can't imagien we want a 99 row table in each skill's main article. Dark avorian 20:49, March 21, 2010 (UTC)

Support - I think this would be a great reference source for people looking to see what they can do next. BerserkHackr 20:52, March 21, 2010 (UTC)

Support subpage Awesome idea, I've always wanted to see what things I missed at low levels and when the menu was interrupted by combat :D But itd be quite a large article. Sw0rd

Support subpage, and be bold - We did suggest this in Parsons' thread, but it seemed to get little attention from anyone as most were determined to oppose Parsons' original proposal. As Degen stated there, as it'd be an improvement to the wiki, there is really no need for a discussion about it, and you can pretty much do it straight out. I've already gathered images of the scrolls from numerous levels so I can convert them to text and add it to tables on the wiki, when I get time. It is quizzical to me why Parsons' thread was closed, even when a new proposal was put forward. Chicken7 >talk 04:55, March 22, 2010 (UTC)

Okay. Again, the only reason I asked on the yew grove is because when I tried to be bold with the prayer table I found my edits quasi-instantaneously reverted. Dark avorian 10:57, March 22, 2010 (UTC)
Yeah, I understand. Smile Chicken7 >talk 11:27, March 22, 2010 (UTC)

Support- This would be a great idea except as long as it is on a subpage as mentioned above other wise the all ready long pages about skills would become even longer. Hunter cape (t).png Sentra246Blue hallowe'en mask.png 08:05, March 22, 2010 (UTC)

Comment - I have created Magic/Level-up table. As I have only noted a few levels, most of it is marked as "Unknown". I think doing that rather than leaving it blank is better, as you know which ones need to be confirmed and which are just empty. Also, if you take a look at the ones I have filled in, it can help establish some kind of standard for consistency across all the tables. When you list an ability that is unlocked, it's better to start with the verb (Eg, Cast High Alchemy (m), rather than Members can now cast High Alchemy) If you want a blank table for the rest of them, there are some at User:Chicken7/Level-up tables. I based them off Dark's, so thanks to him for that. Although I modified the width, alignment and added Unknowns to them for new pages. Feel free to make changes and add to the ones we have. Also feel free to change the name I gave the subpage; I thought it was the most descriptive and appropriate. Chicken7 >talk 11:27, March 22, 2010 (UTC)

Parsonsda recently made a thread about this, but his proposal was, to do this with images instead of tables. Ancient talisman.png Oil4 Talk 22:02, March 22, 2010 (UTC)

Support Subpage - I agree, it would add too much unwanted space on Skill pages.   Swizz Talk   Events!   07:56, March 23, 2010 (UTC)

Support - Would be very useful for Construction. bad_fetustalk 18:56, March 23, 2010 (UTC)

Strong Support - I have already made such a table in Excel that covers all F2P and a few Members skills. Because of the filter function in Excel, I've made it to one long list (currently over 1,000 lines), but for RSW purposes, it would be better having a separate page per skill. This table also includes the XP gained per item/cast etc. Also to save wasted space, notice how there is not row for level 2, because nothing is awarded, but can be edited and added as-and-when new items are released.

Skill Category Item

Level
Req'd

XP Gained
Magic Weapons Weild Staff Of Water 1 N/A
Magic Combat Cast Windstrike 1 5.5
Magic Defence Cast Confuse 1 13
Magic Combat Cast Waterstrike 3 7.5

My table has been invaluable to me and I always have it open in the background while playing. Im sure there are others who would make similar use. 11:43, March 26, 2010 (GMT)

Wow that's AWESOME. You should make a subpage with all of the table so we can get a full view of them all.   Swizz Talk   Events!   19:34, March 26, 2010 (UTC)
  • Support' yes something I wanted for a while. But can it be made better like this:

{{Abilities level table|Construction}}

The actual data is in {{Construction 32}} etc. This means it is available to other systems, for example player templates showing "what do I get a next level", or a template showing all level 70 combat skills and what they give.

Im going to start making one per RS:BB and it seems the general consensus is support, check magic/level-up for progress

Closed - All the subpages have been created (by me). They are named Skill name/Level up table, for example, Construction/Level up table. Any help in filling those tables will be appreciated. --LiquidTalk 01:26, April 19, 2010 (UTC)
