Hey, guys. When I visited the wiki after school this afternoon, I saw that images in articles do not link to their respective File pages (that means :File:Example.png for File:Example.png), but to their archive page. Any idea how to fix this? Because it's really annoying when trying to upload basically anything.

Then, another thing. Perhaps it's just my computer, but I hope not. Images do not appear thumbnailed (or at least, frameless) and do not follow the alignment (so images formatted like are placed right and without frame). Also, random texts appear throughout the article, saying "[avatar] [Username] added this" or something like that. Is that who added that piece of the article? Because... do we even care the slightest who added it? No. By the way, I'm using MonoBook, if that matters.

Last thing, some kind of annoying "Read more" section has been added that I cannot remove to every article. The images fail and the sentences aren't finished. *murders Wikia staff* Is anybody else experiencing these problems? Discuss away!

Comment - Erm... support as nominator? XD User_talk:Fswe1 Fswe1 Brassica Prime symbol.png 17:01, December 6, 2010 (UTC)

Remove the read more thing: add
.RelatedPagesModule {display: none !important;}
.category-gallery {display: none !important;}
to your wikia.css and it is gone. Oh and about the 2nd part: you probably swapped left and right Lol
About the "... added this image: that is image attribution and it is removed by adding
aside.picture-attribution {display:none !important;}
div.picture-attribution {display:none !important;}
About the crap link thing: WTF?!?!?!? I hope it helped you. JOEYTJE50TALKpull my finger 17:50, December 6, 2010 (UTC)

Welcome to Wikia's new skin - Despite being on monobook a bunch of the new skin 'upgrades' apply there too. When you click an image by default it opens a JS window with a larger version of the image; I assume you are able to remove it if you have enough JS skills to do so level 70+, the assist system can be used</badjoke>. You can remove the image attribution by adding aside.picture-attribution {display:none !important;} to your monobook.css and/or wikia.css. I haven't seen the image positioning problem you're describing at all, could you provide some example pages? And finally the 'Read more' sections are under discussion here. Problem he is mentioning is on Lesser demon, and probably more. Try clicking on an image there. JOEYTJE50TALKpull my finger 18:13, December 6, 2010 (UTC)
Wikia must've done something to the JS then, as it's linking me to the image on the server since I bypassed my cache. Bleh wikia. Quest.png Gaz Lloyd 7:^]Events!99s 18:27, December 6, 2010 (UTC)
Yes, on Lesser Demon for example. However, everythung functions perfectly on Gwir. Also, see the flax article for bad alignments etc. Thanks for the tips, guys! 18:42, December 6, 2010 (UTC)

Comment - Is it just me or does the image attribution removal css not work (Oasis)? I use the below, and I know it works.

/* Hides image attribution on articles */
div.picture-attribution { display:none !important; }

And I can't find that in Common.css.

222 talk 06:00, December 7, 2010 (UTC)

That is because they changed div.picture-attribution to aside.picture-attribution. JOEYTJE50TALKpull my finger 11:41, December 7, 2010 (UTC)
For whatever reason the other day they changed it from div to aside, and now its a div again. It has been added to wikia.css (for the Wikia skin) and to common.css (for Monobook). The Wikia skin does not use CSS from common.css (only taking it from wikia.css), but it does use JS from common.js (as well as wikia.js). Gaz, to prevent any future changing between the two, just add both:
aside.picture-attribution {display:none !important;}
div.picture-attribution {display:none !important;}
Problem solved for both of them. If they might wanna change to aside again, we are prepared. JOEYTJE50TALKpull my finger 15:28, December 8, 2010 (UTC)
We need to petition Wikia to remove it properly though. It's all very well using CSS to hide it but it still loads into the browser and it still makes those database calls and downloads the avatar etc. This is bloated code and the wiki would be better off disabling it completely. --Gold ore.png Mercifull UK serv.svg (Talk) 15:51, December 8, 2010 (UTC)
We should ask them to add an option in the ThemeDesigner, which completely removes it. If it is allowed to remove it, why not make it available to remove for evryone who wants to make a wiki for their subject as not evryone knows CSS. JOEYTJE50TALKpull my finger 17:22, December 8, 2010 (UTC)

Closed - Fswe, meet Oasis. Oasis, meet Fswe. --LiquidTalk 23:06, December 14, 2010 (UTC)

FYI: This is not oasis. This is a bug. JOEYTJE50TALKpull my finger 11:39, December 17, 2010 (UTC)
