I recently had the idea of creating a bot that will fix any outdated or nonexistent HTML tags so I thought I'd go ahead and ask for the bot flag here before getting started (it would really suck to finish the entire code only to get this turned down ).
I'm requesting the bot flag for User:FluffyBunnyBot. The source code will be available when completed (assuming this passes).

Support - Sounds good. There's plenty of off coding here =/ Gaz Lloyd 7:^]Events!99s 22:35, 2 July 2009 (UTC)
Comment - Keep in mind that the initial vote only approves of the purpose of the bot, after the coding is completed/displayed, and the bot tested, you'll have to then request the actual flag.--

Support - Sounds great, but remember to handle all of the edge cases well. Personally, Wikia's HTML is what needs the cleaning . - TehKittyCatTalk Wikian-Book 00:54, 3 July 2009 (UTC)
Support - Makes sense to me to have this happen. Make sure that tags are all up to date. ~MuzTalk 01:09, 3 July 2009 (UTC)
Support - Sounds good. P.S. - Why fluffybunny!

Comment - The bot name should really reflect what it does a little better. Support idea of bot, oppose name. -- Mercifull (Talk) 07:45, 3 July 2009 (UTC)
- I fail to see why the name matters at all. Azliq's bot is AzBot, Quarenon's is QBot, Pointy's was PointyBot.... then we have SmackBot and ButterBot. Do they reflect what their job is through their name? I don't think so. Andrew talk 07:47, 3 July 2009 (UTC)
- Don't forget about TehKittyBot . The bots we have are not necessarily dedicated to only one task ever. The main thing with bots name is they must reflect the master(yours does) or their task, at least that is my opinion on that. - TehKittyCatTalk Wikian-Book 20:16, 3 July 2009 (UTC)

Question: Will you run a trial period first to make sure it works? Butterman62 (talk) 05:17, 4 July 2009 (UTC)
- Of course. Andrew talk 05:31, 4 July 2009 (UTC)
Support - Why not. But what about the name: FluffBot with a fluffy crown? Just wondering...Joe Click Here for Awesomeness 14:01, 5 July 2009 (UTC)
Comment - the source code is now available at User:FluffyBunnyBot/Source code. I'm just working out a few kinks with the PHP command line and then I'll start the testing period. Expect an official request for the bot flag soon. Andrew talk 21:41, 5 July 2009 (UTC)
