It seems some people are starting to get impatient, with good reason too. February is drawing to a close and we still haven't got a Wikifest planned. I've decided to step up and start trying to organise the Eastern wikifest. Trying to keep this short: unless there are objections, I'd like to use this 'fest to "trial" some new ideas we have.

Basically, I'd like to trial a two-part wikifest, a short F2P section and a (probably) longer P2P section immediately after. This caters to both free players as well as allowing the fest to adequately incorporate the larger pay to play game without having to exclude free players all together. Of course, there may be objections.

Now to events: I'd just like to throw out some suggestions here, this part is probably the part that needs the most discussion. Starting off with a Costume Contest, then some GE terrorist attacks bombings, followed by FoG to round out the F2P section. Then a selection of fun P2P activities e.g. Castle Wars, Stealing Creation, etc. Obviously, these are just some near-rambling suggestions which need a lot of details. Possible dates would probably be the 5th/6th or 12th/13th March.

Finally, if anyone doesn't want me to plan this, nows the time to say it. Discuss, 222 talk 07:28, February 22, 2011 (UTC)

Comment - That sounds good as it includes everyone but also doesn't make it really boring for members. Hunter cape (t).png Sentra246Blue hallowe'en mask.png 07:56, February 22, 2011 (UTC)

....It's not even Winter any more. Change it to Easter?   Swizz Talk   Events!   11:13, February 22, 2011 (UTC)

Winter ends at the end of March. Quest.png Gaz Lloyd 7:^]Events!99s 11:47, February 22, 2011 (UTC)
But isn't it like Summer in the East?   Swizz Talk   Events!   11:53, February 22, 2011 (UTC)
Yes, but we have already started using the seasonal wikifest categorization, i don't see any reason to stop. It just makes things a bit less complicated IMO. - [Pharos] 11:58, February 22, 2011 (UTC)
Since it's the eastern fest and most of the people in the east are from Australia can we change it to either the Summer Wikifest, or Feb/March wikifest, depending on when the fest is on. Hunter cape (t).png Sentra246Blue hallowe'en mask.png 05:14, February 23, 2011 (UTC)
Summer fest would be nice, less confusing. 222 talk 05:17, February 23, 2011 (UTC)
Ye, but for the archives it would look a bit confusing though. I do agree if the date of the wikifest is also in the archives(not only on the page, also in the wikifest list).

Comment - As I'm western, I don't really care a lot about the eastern Wikifest, but I suggest the eastern people start discussing this before it's spring autumn, as you might else have missed it. And I also suggest the western people start organising something too, as else it is spring and the we'd have missed it Frown. If you want, I'll do it, and i'm going to BB if it isn't there in a few days. JOEYTJE50TALKpull my finger 14:38, February 23, 2011 (UTC)

Moar discussion

Looking good guys, good work. At least your fest is making progress. Have you got a CC done?   Swizz Talk   Events!   17:28, February 25, 2011 (UTC)

Says there. "Wiki Events". 222 talk 02:40, February 26, 2011 (UTC)

I like the above time table, but I don't think 50 minutes is enough for CW and/or FOG. I would knock CW off the list of F2P events, because we found that it's difficult for us to find a clan large enough to fight. Magic-icon.pngStelercusIlluminated Book of Balance.png 21:40, February 25, 2011 (UTC)

  • Maybe the c contest shouldnt be too close to the wilderness... >_>
  • Wouldnt a P2P bombing be cooler as we have more things to "spam" with?
  • Can i suggest we find a more... Exotic location for the picture? Due to F2P restraints its always been quite lame backgrounds...
  • Maybe it sould be limited to 2 castle w games max? They are quite long and not always that interesting
  • Id suggest you reward the costume contest instead of the HnS
  • We may need to remove one of these or pick a shorter one, 4 hours is quite long
  • I suggest an un-armed boss run ^_^? Eg KBD?
  • Also, did you realise that its been planned for the bonus exp weekend XD?
  • I'll be planning the Western fest with the rest of the ET btw, you'll need to find someone else :P- [Pharos] iPhone Edit 03:59, February 26, 2011 (UTC)
And now we're not planning it 0_o wtf - [Pharos] 11:31, February 26, 2011 (UTC)
Pwned. (Also, changes made) 222 talk 23:13, February 26, 2011 (UTC)

Yeh, clan wars probably should be removed as firstly finding another clan may be hard and secondly the eastern wikifest won't get a massive amount of people to fight against a clan if we can find one. Hunter cape (t).png Sentra246Blue hallowe'en mask.png 23:42, February 26, 2011 (UTC)
