As the Dungeoneering skill have a lot of aspect to cover, as seen in User:King Runite1's Dungeoneering template:

So, how should we name the article in items category?

  • Dungeoneering/Weapons
  • Dungeoneering Weapons
  • Weapons (Dungeoneering)
  • Dungeoneering Equipments (merge of Weapons, Armour, Tools)

For reference, in Stealing Creation article we used Fog (stealing creation) for the item/scenery and for the equipments we used Sacred clay equipment.

  • Thanks Willwill. I've added the Dungeoneering template to the articles that it links to. I'm not sure whether the template as it stands is missing items or not. Personally I favour Weapons (Dungeoneering), which would take inspiration from Weapons for it's format. I don't think lots of sub-pages is a good idea. We should also look at putting the items on the normal pages under a sub-heading of Dungeoneering and using the Main Article template. --King Runite1 15:01, April 15, 2010 (UTC)
PS: We will probably also want templates for ores, weapons and so - similar to those that exist for ores, Rune items etc. --King Runite1 15:03, April 15, 2010 (UTC)
  • I'd prefer Dungeoneering/Weapons or Dungeoneering Weapons. bad_fetustalk 16:35, April 15, 2010 (UTC)

Comment - We should also consider whether we should create separate pages for Dungeoneering monsters that already exist outside of the skill, like Ice spiders and Giant rats. Currently, these pages simply mention that they are found in Daemonheim. We could stick with that, or we could make pages called <Monster name here> (Dungeoneering) for those particular monsters... for example, Ice spider (Dungeoneering). Personally, I think we should go for separate pages since they have different drops, combat levels, and in some cases different attack styles (Icefiends seem to use magic in Daemonheim but not in Gielinor) than their normal counterparts.  Tien  21:11, April 15, 2010 (UTC)

Comment- We need a larger discussion than just Item page naming for Dungeoneering. I think someone needs to make a taskforce or something to overlook the creation of new pages. A lot of Dungeoneering related pages are very poor, with little or no helpful information. By the way, how do you do create a taskforce or something like that? 222 talk 09:06, April 21, 2010 (UTC)

If the article isn't good, use Template:Stub or Template:Incomplete. Ancient talisman.png Oil4 Talk 09:08, April 21, 2010 (UTC)
Personally I think this isn't just an everyday stub or incomplete article. A new skill will take time for the RS Wiki's editors to cover adequately and I'm just saying that we should link heads and work together in a specialist Dungeoneering editing taskforce and not just fixing up other stubs, etc. 222 talk 09:21, April 21, 2010 (UTC)
You could propose a wikiguild... But then, we don't really have that much information about these items yet. Over time, people will add new information to the articles by themselves, I really don't think some taskforce or something would be needed. Ancient talisman.png Oil4 Talk 09:19, April 21, 2010 (UTC)
How do you do that? 222 talk 09:21, April 21, 2010 (UTC)

Closed - Dungeoneering articles have been moved onto subpages of the main Dungeoneering article. --Aburnett(Talk) 19:30, June 7, 2010 (UTC)
