Is it really neccesary to put this line at every single dragon item? "As with all Dragon equipment this item cannot be made from raw materials using the smithing skill. The Dragon platebody and the Dragon sq shield can be smithed from their component parts."

I don't think it adds anything to articles and it annoys me everytime I read it. People who think the items can be smithed have to take a look at the smithing section. Also the trade limit protects them from being scammed even if they think it can be smithed Magicaragorn 21:17, March 8, 2010 (UTC)

As per RS:G we need to include all notable information in articles, even if it is required to have on every page relating to the topic. I am also not 100% sure the Yew Grove is the perfect place for this discussion. Magic-icon.pngStelercusIlluminated Book of Balance.png 21:19, March 8, 2010 (UTC)

Er, RS:G is just about new articles, not about information in existing articles. Hello71 02:19, March 9, 2010 (UTC)

Also it just helps to avoid confusion, because some people may think otherwise, and it's better if it's clearly stated. (Ex: Many new people used to think higher level players could add trim to armor-and some still do, but this is clearly inaccurate, and therefore needs to be stated on every relevant page to hopefully not cause confusion.) I agree this is rather redundant to have on every page. To keep things clear and concise and informative without being redundant, make sure a link to the Dragon armour main article is very early on the page (not to a disambig page). The skill interfaces were not nearly as informative when this was written as they are now. Players can click the interface and easily see that they cannot smith dragon items. How is their any confusion to avoid, the info is right there for them. Also, per RS:BB you don't even need a YG thread to proceed with something of this order, it is minor enough to simply proceed. Another problem with a thread is getting a consensus in this community is often akin to pulling teeth. Just look at how many open threads we have compared to how many get closed a day, this sentence is not meant to be insulting to anyone, its simply a comment upon the natural state of such a diverse group of people as we have here.--Degenret01 14:02, March 9, 2010 (UTC)

Comment - What's wrong with the links? I like having gazillions of links on each page - makes it easy to get to another page to look something up there, while reading an article. Don't see anything wrong with it. Ancient talisman.png Oil4 Talk 21:41, March 9, 2010 (UTC)

The problem with links is that it keeps me on the wiki instead of training slayer/doing homework or other things that I should be doing =P HaloTalk 22:00, March 13, 2010 (UTC)
Yeah but page links are a huge part of what makes a wiki a wiki, and I love that you prioritize training slayer before doing homework, lol Air rune.png Tollerach hates SoF Fire rune.png 09:14, March 14, 2010 (UTC)
