This is a great guide. Is there a way for rs players to search for this page more easily. Should there be a mainspace for this? There is an achievement named after this editor and recognition by Jagex. Can the rules be bent to allow rs players easy access to this extensive and excellent guide? Discussion

No rule bending. - Incorporate it into the article but there shouldn't be made out to be something massive. As I've made mention on the Discord about this, There have been editors before that have done massive things without them being recognized by the wider community. Why should we bend the rules now? Oppose - We have Mining and Smithing rework, if there is stuff missing from there, feel free to bring the information over. As for recognition, jagex have named an achievement after him and given him the gamebreaker title. From the wiki, he’s been given the Wikian title (however much merit that holds) and proper attribution on his achievement page. Like Twig said, why bend the rules now when there’s other players who’ve done the same scale of work? A lot of other people worked on this rework, whether it be with jagex or the wiki, so should their name be signed on the pages too? Talk to Kelsey 08:56, 20 January 2019 (UTC)

Be bold/Comment - While we acknowledge that nobody has ownership of pages on the wiki, including user pages, I think Suity has worked hard on the guide and is entitled to have it on his userspace.

However, if an editor wants to move the content to the mainspace, I suggest copying the content into an existing page (e.g Mining and Smithing rework) and rewriting it a bit to be wikified. jayden 11:49, 20 January 2019 (UTC)

Oppose/Comment - Per Jayden above, for the guide to be a mainspace article it needs some editing. It would probably be best, if anything, to work it into Mining and Smithing rework per KelseW above, among other articles. In addition, I also think that as great as this guide is, and much credit to Suity it is very helpful, but in a month, then a year, and beyond, the value of the guide itself is going to be much less, as the mining and smithing skills will be thought of as just that: the mining skill, and the smithing skill. Nobody is going to be focused on everything that has changed because of the rework, they will be focuesed on what the skills are now. As such, all of the information from the guide should be incorporated into pages like Mining and Smithing rather than unecessarily changing/bending rules or copying Suity's guide verbatim to mainspace.  RS AdvLogMyles Prower  Talk 02:37, 21 January 2019 (UTC)

Oppose - per the others. Deltaslug (talk) 02:43, 21 January 2019 (UTC)

Oppose/Comment - for the comment, there's nothing in place preventing you (or anyone else, for that matter) from incorporating his work into mainspace articles, but pay mind to keeping the information unbiased and unopinipnated. As for oppose, while great work was done on his part, that line is very subjective. What defines great? How do you measure the greatness, where is the line drawn? For example, the wikian title is a subjective determinant of how 'great' of an effort any one of the holders has put in. The guidelines for obtaining it are subjective, but the article about the title itself is not. Largely, I'm understanding that you want to push subjective information into objective articles, at least that was the impression I got from discord, so please correct me if that was a misinterpretation. Oppose - Per others. dDbvitC.pngScuzzy Betahib8CAd.png 04:03, 22 January 2019 (UTC)

Oppose/Comment - Comment follows route of Kelsey and Jayden. RuneMetrics icon.png Tyler JarretTalkLight animica.png 18:28, 23 January 2019 (UTC)

Comment - The guide was created to help the community, and to make mainspacing information easier and timely. If you see any information in the guide that is not present in mainspace then I suggest it be added, i'm always around in the wiki discord to help clear up any issues in understanding precise details. I will be doing more of these in the future. (Suity (talk) 22:58, 23 January 2019 (UTC))

Closed - The guide will be kept in Suity's namespace, but users are welcome (and encouraged) to move parts from it into the mainspace. HaidroH rune.pngEagle feather 3.pngCandle (blood red).png 1XqyDNM.png Crystal triskelion fragment 3.pngHazelmere's signet ring.png 04:26, 29 January 2019 (UTC)
