We need to add a statement to AEAE clarifying that any additional, say, highlight is just a source of reference. There are a lot of discussions that wouldn't be here if this clarification was added when AEAE was finalized. --中亚人/中亞人 (Chinasian/Jeffwang16) 跟我谈话 23:53, October 22, 2010 (UTC)

Request for Closure - [1] Magic-icon.pngStelercusIlluminated Book of Balance.png 23:55, October 22, 2010 (UTC)

<I'm not actually mad at Liquid for that particular edit conflict> No offense met, though this topic is already being discussed on several other threads in one way or another. The consensus of each will effect the wording of AEAE, regardless. Magic-icon.pngStelercusIlluminated Book of Balance.png 23:58, October 22, 2010 (UTC)

Support request for closure - Though I completely agree that AEAE is completely misunderstood, a thread is not the way to change that. --LiquidTalk 23:56, October 22, 2010 (UTC)

If you want to retract your proposal, then we can close this, but please clarify what you're trying to say. While it may be obvious to you how "Closed?" should be interpenetrated, we are still guessing. Magic-icon.pngStelercusIlluminated Book of Balance.png 00:47, October 23, 2010 (UTC)
Shouldn't forums be open for at least a week? JOEYTJE50TALKpull my finger 01:42, October 23, 2010 (UTC)
Not if the nominator withdraws, no. --LiquidTalk 02:08, October 23, 2010 (UTC)
You are completely misinterpreting the result of that proposal. It is not set it stone..we have RS:UCS. Andrew talk 03:36, October 23, 2010 (UTC)
Only if using SNOW to close...unless you see a link to SNOW on this thread...I don't understand. HaloTalk 07:16, October 23, 2010 (UTC)

Comment - How do you expect Jeff to react to two supports for request for closure? I doubt he was trying to retract his proposal. I know I'd be confused if two admins immediately supported closure, although no discussion has taken place at all, nor did the admins close the thread (who have the ability to do so). Yeah, this topic is greatly debated and discussed, but the above isn't helping anything. We can't just shut the proposal out, we can obviously build on it. How can we clarify AEAE? How can we make it better and more understandable? How aren't we making it clear? Constructive comments. Quest point cape.pngLil Diriz 77 Talk Summoning-icon.png 03:38, October 23, 2010 (UTC)

I agree with Lil Diriz to a point. I made a thread about it, which when I started to go semi-inactive Liquid randomly closed even though there was consensus to make SOME sort of change to AEAE even if it wasn't my suggestion. The policy itself is good, but the title is a downright lie, which really annoys me. I've just realized that AEAE is too fundamental to bother with it. It requires too many people hating you to change it. HaloTalk 17:19, October 23, 2010 (UTC)

Comment - Personally, I find it hilariously ironic that users continue, time-after-time, to write proposals for the same changes to AEAE and AEAE-related issues. Name highlights, crowns, AEAE clarification - you name it; the same issues keep coming up, and AEAE-supporting filibusterers get upset and impatient. The fact of the matter is: complaints are proof of a problem, and I'd say that recurring complaints are even better proof. I wish I had the motivation to comb through all the AEAE threads and find every user that ever told me "AEAE is perfect how it is," especially since they always manage to get the discussion shut down by saying so. I'd leave a nice "I told you so" on each talk page, but I really don't feel like reading it all again. Leftiness 00:53, October 24, 2010 (UTC)

Degen likes this.--Degenret01 01:01, October 24, 2010 (UTC)
AEAE obviously needs to be fixed, though there are so many other threads encompassing this topic right now, I see this thread as redundant. Magic-icon.pngStelercusIlluminated Book of Balance.png 01:03, October 24, 2010 (UTC)

BTW

Admins often violate AEAE. What's the consequence? Nothing. Logo contest. Demolished by the Wikia skin introduction. "we have to violate AEAE". Oops. Blocks made: none.

Looks like we need a group of regulators. NO USER GROUP NEEDED, but the Regulators committee will make sure everybody is up with policy ASWELL because some admins just don't want to be honest with themselves. --中亚人/中亞人 (Chinasian/Jeffwang16) 跟我谈话 03:26, October 24, 2010 (UTC)

I'm not supporting or opposing. --中亚人/中亞人 (Chinasian/Jeffwang16) 跟我谈话 03:26, October 24, 2010 (UTC)

Oppose - Too bureaucratic and it won't work. They have no powers and everyone knows rules get bent when important changes need to be made, as long as there it consensus to do so, it is fine. 222 talk 03:30, October 24, 2010 (UTC)

Closed - What? What is this forum even about? What is being accomplished here? Also, if you are going to be striking out comments and insulting other users, then there is no reason for this things existence. ajr 03:33, October 24, 2010 (UTC)
