Hi everyone. I pop in once in a while to see how things are in the CC. Sometimes I would see arguments between players over rules and stuff. I do agree we need to behave but we need to keep calm and not cause violent conversations. "Kicking" as I see is usually the way you people settle things. But what if that causes future problems? Sure you could permanantly ban them but that might give a bad reputation to the CC. I also see that some people are being called "Kicking-Abusers" and "Power-Abusers" which concerns me because when those with ranks hear this they immediately began to say mean and harsh comments which leads to fights. The non-ranked people seem to be discouraged as they can't do anything in the matter and are forced to stop talking or threatened to be banned. I am not picking a side in this matter but I want to see your opinions. (Please do not label people as idiots and "dicks", as I've heard, because that is that person's personality and it isn't right to change them.) But do you support/oppose the fact that when people say bad things its just best to put them on your ignore list to completely skip passed CC fights and avoid bad feedback?

Well, one thing I've had a concern about (I'm not sure if others agree) is that, in a rush to have enough ranked people on the CC, we gave kicking powers too easily. Now, I'm almost never in the CC, so I don't know if some are actually abusing their powers. Butterman62 (talk) 02:17, 15 July 2009 (UTC)

Oppose(?) As I read the starter, I thought of a common idea of global harmony on a small scale community. However, the reason we have a system of "ranks" is because, like the world, the occasional criminal slips into our society. "Kicking" helps keep them out so that the chat can stay safe and peaceful without filling our ignore lists. Kicking throws them off the urge to cause wreckage and argument, and at least gives us an hour of peace. If the problem persists, that's when most go to the "Ignore List". As for the hype of "power abusers", that's most opinion, I believe. I know of a few ranked wikians that some consider "unfair", but first impressions do cause quite a bit of damage if done wrong. All and all, peace cannot hold all of the time, and no, it would not be easier to put people on the List every time they caused Hell to break loose. Comment - There have been a few arguments and such. Speaking for myself, I've always stayed inside the rules and never have been or felt threatened to be kicked. Zaros tally.PNGBladeQuick chat button.png# 02:24, 15 July 2009 (UTC)

Oppose - The clan chat is for people to enjoy, and if someone is being disruptive, well, they won't stay for long. Now that's a throwing weapon!Doucher4000******r4000I'll eat you! 03:36, 15 July 2009 (UTC)

Oppose - as per Doucher. when somebody is kicked, live and learn. those people can come back in an hour if they are ready to be mature again. The Ignore list is for those that have been banned from the clanchat based on a yew grove debate. This is quite rare and should not be used liberaly. hear is an example of the kind of thing that gets you a ban, and this one was only temporary. Oppose - Per D4k --03:41, 18 July 2009 (UTC)

Comment - Is there anything to support/oppose? As far as I can tell the author just wants to know peoples opinions on the matter. As for what you said, I mostly agree. Most of the ranked users I see tend to give a warning to behavior that is not necessarily breaking the rules, but that they don't agree with and then kick. I would definitely like to see more conservative use of the kick/ban tools. Cap and goggles.pngTEbuddy 07:49, 18 July 2009 (UTC)

Comment - I barely see anyone being called kicker or power abuser and I'm normally in the CC everyday. :) Santa hat.png Powers38 おはようヾ(´・ω・`) 08:12, 18 July 2009 (UTC)

Oppose - Per D4K.--Joe Click Here for Awesomeness 17:23, 23 July 2009 (UTC)

Oppose - I think D4K explains it quite well. The CC is an enjoyable place, and spammers don't have a chance against all the ranked users, I've seen no real problems with this. Miasmic Blitz icon.png Hapi007 Talk! Sign! . 19:55, 24 July 2009 (UTC)

Oppose people are rarely kicked in the clanchat, people who are kicked are generally people coming in who are looking for trouble. I myself have never had to kick a person and most ranks will not resort to kicking easily they will ask the person to stop or change the subject a few times before kicking the person.
