'''Oppose/comment''' - Unnecessary on the infobox, I think it would make it a bit crowded. Others have mentioned that all augmentable items should have redirect at the top of the article - I believe it should also be mentioned in the opening section somewhere - if not then that's something we can go about adding. {{Signatures/Superiosity}} 02:54, 5 February 2019 (UTC)

'''Closed''' - While there is the option of adding this information to either of the infoboxes as mentioned by Gaz, there has been no real support for the idea. There is '''no consensus''' at present to implement this change. As I Am Me and Attamaris have pointed out, {{:Variant}} can be used to display information about an item having an augmented version at the top of a page. If any of the new Mining and Smithing item pages are missing this then it should be added. {{Signatures/IsobelJ}} 21:18, 17 February 2019 (UTC)

With the new mining and smithing rework it is not clear for me which armour and weapons is augmentable. A small suggestion: An extra property for armour and weapons -> augmentable: yes/no.  —The preceding unsigned comment was added by The murda (talk) on 01:51,19 January 2019.

Discussion[edit source]

Comment - Don't basically all augmentable items link their augmented version right at the top of the page anyway? -Hourglass (2011 Hallowe'en event) detail.png I Am Me Talk III The Spark.png- 02:25, 19 January 2019 (UTC)

Comment - I also found it confusing at first, even before the M&S rework. But as stated above, all items that can be augmented, should have links on the top of the page. There is also Category:Augmentable items. As soon as someone finds out where to find the information, having augmentable: yes/no would feel obsolete. I am not opposed to adding it to the infoboxes, but I am also not sure if it would really make a big difference in terms of clarity. Attamaris (talk) 11:07, 19 January 2019 (UTC)

Comment - I'd also say it's not really necessary to add it to the infobox. Not only is there the category but the Augmentation page has a list broken up by tier and slot (it uses dpl to load it from the category). Seers headband 2 chathead.png Elessar2 (talk) 20:17, 19 January 2019

Support - As mentioned by users above, this information is available by other means. However, I can see where having it in the infobox could be beneficial. As an example of what this might look like, see this example using a sandboxed copy of the template/module.  RS AdvLogMyles Prower  Talk 03:31, 21 January 2019 (UTC)

Comment - I would suggest one of the following:

  • Addition to infobox bonuses (since infobox bonuses already tracks drain rate for augmented items)
  • Addition to infobox item - sharing the cell with disassembly

I'm not particularly a fan of a dedicated row in infobox item but its an option I suppose. Quest.png Gaz Lloyd 7:^]Events!99s 11:16, 21 January 2019 (UTC)

Comment - Personally, I would rather see the second option of those two. I feel if we are going to add it somewhere, infobox item is the most obvious place for it to be, but it doesn't need it's own row (as my example) I just did it that way as an easy example of how it could be done. In any case, I support adding it in some form to infobox item.  RS AdvLogMyles Prower  Talk 00:15, 22 January 2019 (UTC)
