Hey, I'm not amazingly good at writing a fortress of text for a yew grove proposal or anything, although I don't think it would be smiled upon if I attempted to be bold and just did this myself.

I'm proposing that in addition to the current drop tables we have for monsters that have their drops listed with specific rarities from common through to very rare. We should add one more category; Extremely rare.

I'm proposing this because, I feel that looking at some examples of very rare drops, e.g. An elite clue scroll from General Graardor, compared to the potential of collecting a dragon chainbody from a Dustdevil or a champion's challenge from a lesser demon, these kind of events are on a much higher scale of rarity.

I'm not great at coding stuff either, but I would suggest as for the kind of scale, this would probably include the champion challenges, the dragon chainbody from dust devils, Third age from a clue, Etc...

Any thoughts on this? RSN: Warthog Rhys Talk Completionist's cape... Coming soon. 15:44, July 21, 2011 (UTC)

Support - A draconic visage from an iron dragon is indeed many times rarer than a level 3 clue scroll. User_talk:Fswe1 Fswe1 Brassica Prime symbol.png 06:47, July 22, 2011 (UTC)

Support - Sure why not. Makes sense. (: sssSp7p.pngIjLCqFF.png 07:34, July 22, 2011 (UTC)

no no no no no Rare is rare is rare ffs. We had long drawn out tedious fighting over just coming up with the system we did. Some tings listed as rare should be moved to very rare and vice versa. Fix what is broken, do not add to it to make it more cumbersome and unwieldy. No one looking will know what the numerical difference is and this is most unhelpful. Any move we make MUST be to be helpful for the player. This is NOT that.--Degenret01 07:42, July 22, 2011 (UTC) Oppose This system was changed in order to remove all the modifiers. Slightly rare, extremly, kinda, occiasionly, semi, were all in place before this system. Adding more "rare" modifiers just makes a huge mess 16px‎AtlandyBeer.png 12:18, July 22, 2011 (UTC)

Comment - I'm only requesting the addition of one more rarity with this proposal, and it is, as per above, to distinguish your dustdevil dchains from your level 4 clues... I'm obviously going to get 10 or more elites from most monsters before i'm getting 1 d chain from a dust devil. It's to distinguish two massively different levels of rarity, as the potential 1 in 100 from General graardor is nothing even close to the 1 in 16000 or so from a dust devil for a dragon chain. Oppose - Making another drop category would cause too many people to overuse it for drops that don't belong there. Just leaving them in very rare is the best thing to do. HaloTalk 17:03, July 22, 2011 (UTC)

Oppose - Per above, pretty much. Also, a drop as rare as a dragon chain from a dust devil is usually emphasized on an appropriate article.  Tien  00:59, July 24, 2011 (UTC)
