The Forinthry bracelet (formerly Abyssal bracelet), named after an ancient name for the Wilderness, is an enchanted bracelet with various abilities related to the Wilderness.

It is made by casting the Enchant Level 4 Jewellery spell on a diamond bracelet, which can in turn be made with the Crafting skill. The bracelet is also dropped by skeletal hands or zombie hands.

It currently costs 1062.4 coins for each use of a Forinthry bracelet, assuming that all charges are used.

Effects[edit | edit source]

The bracelet has five charges. After all five charges are used, it turns to dust. Players can use a charge of the bracelet to become immune to damage caused by Revenants for one minute, as well remove their aggression for one hour. The removal of aggression helps revenant farming considerably as this allows players to focus on the revenant they want to kill without taking excessive damage from the others when using lower level equipment.

The bracelet also keeps you from being skulled when entering the Abyss. Each time you enter uses up one charge. Since bracelets use the glove slot, it conflicts with wearing the infinity ethereal outfit (or its components Law, Blood, or Death outfits), so it prevents you from using the set effects of those outfits, unless you carry it in your inventory and switch the glove slot back and forth on every Abyss run.

Alchemy spells will always provide the same number of coins when used on the bracelet regardless of how many charges it has left. Using four of the five charges and then selling the item back to the grand exchange or casting high alchemy will recover most of its cost.

History[edit | edit source]

On release, the Forinthry bracelet was known as the Abyssal bracelet and only had its effect of preventing skulls on players entering the Abyss. It was renamed to the Forinthry bracelet on 31 March 2008, in the Gnomecopters update.[1]

In the same update, an additional effect was added to the bracelet for it to protect against a revenant's Teleport Block spell. If a player was affected by a revenant's teleport block, having the bracelet equipped would allow them to ignore the spell, provided that they were below the appropriate Wilderness level for their teleport method. The bracelet's effect and charge consumption was determined at the moment of teleportation; the player would still be affected by the spell for its normal duration regardless. As a result, equipping the bracelet after the spell was cast would still allow the player to teleport. The bracelet had no effect on teleport blocks cast by other players.

After the Wilderness and Free Trade update on 1 February 2011, the bracelet was given its current effect on revenants. The anti-teleport block effect was removed, as revenants no longer cast it.
