The fish flingers medal enhancer is a reward enhancer that doubles the number of medals obtained in Fish Flingers. It can be received from the Motherlode Maw's daily random reward (requiring level 115 Dungeoneering, and level 95 in all other non-elite skills, and completion of Plague's End); there is also chance of obtaining it by trading Wythien ten crystal motherlode shards, or from Meg's questions if the Adventurer in Training perk is taken at May's Quest Caravan. When obtained, it is automatically converted into 20 charges within Wythien's enhancer management interface, where the effect can be toggled on or off.

While toggled on, the enhancer doubles the number of medals obtained from a game of Fish Flingers, consuming a charge at the end of each game of Fish Flingers completed, regardless if you get any medals.

An unfocused reward enhancer can be converted into fish flingers medal enhancer charges by Wythien, granting 10 charges per unfocused enhancer. If the enhancer effect is unwanted, 20 fish flingers medal enhancer charges can be converted into 1 crystal motherlode shard by Wythien.

The enhancer item can no longer be obtained, following the 17 June 2019 update. Upon obtaining an enhancer, it is converted into charges in Wythien's enhancer management interface - all existing enhancers are converted upon login. Any enhancers mistakenly obtained cannot be used - the only action available is to convert them into charges (or destroy).

  • update 17 June 2019 (Update):
    • Upon login, existing enhancers are converted into charges in Wythien's enhancer management interface
  • update 28 September 2015 (Update):
    • Fish Flinger medal enhancers were considered too powerful, allowing players to complete the trimmed completionist requirement in a single enhancer. Max charges have been reduced from 100 to 20.
  • patch 24 August 2015 (Update):
    • The Fish Flingers points enhancer now doubles medals instead of points
  • update 10 November 2014 (Update):
    • Enhancers are added to the game as part of Prifddinas

Trivia[edit | edit source]

  • The enhancer has been changed twice. On 24 August 2015, it was changed from a points enhancer to a medal enhancer. On 28 September 2015 it had its charges reduced from 100 to 20, and all medal enhancers in existence at the time had their charges reduced by 80, resulting in some enhancers having negative charges.
