First age equipment is an experience-boosting set that can be acquired from the shady ghost for 1,000 ecto-tokens per item. After the 5 main pieces are purchased from the shady ghost, he will sell the first age tiara add-on for an additional 1,000 tokens. This item is used to create a modified first age tiara, which grants additional bonuses. This makes the entire set, including add-on, cost 6,000 tokens.
It takes 1200 bones used at the Ectofuntus to be able to purchase the entire set and upgraded tiara, or 200 bones per piece of the set.
Each piece of the outfit provides a 1% experience boost to Prayer when worn. When all of the pieces of the set are worn, a 1% set bonus is added; thus, the full five-piece set provides a 6% boost.
The experience boost does not work when praying at newly-constructed God Statues, using urns, or using the Ectofuntus.
The set can be freely reclaimed from Diango, Ianto, Azibo, or through the Bank's holiday outfit retrieval interface, if destroyed or lost on death.
The items were added to the game on 12 March 2013 and became available on the Squeal of Fortune on 15 March 2013 as exclusive rewards, with increased chances until 18 March 2013. They were later made available to all members on 6 March 2017 when the shady ghost started selling the set pieces. The outfit pieces were removed from Treasure Hunter following the 27 September 2021 update.
