First age equipment is acquired as a rare prize from Treasure Hunter, or can be bought from the shady ghost for 1,000 ecto-tokens per item, up to 5,000 tokens for the whole set. After all 5 pieces are purchased from the shady ghost, he will sell the first age tiara add-on for an additional 1,000 tokens. This item is used to create a modified first age tiara, which grants additional bonuses. This makes the entire set including add-on cost 6,000 tokens.

When one item is worn, it gives a Prayer experience bonus of 1%. When all of the parts are acquired and worn, an additional 1% set bonus is given, for a total of 6%.

The experience boost does not work when praying at newly-constructed God Statues, using urns, or using the Ectofuntus.

If lost or destroyed, the outfit can be retrieved from Diango in Draynor Village at no cost.

The items were released on 12 March 2013 and became available on the Squeal of Fortune on 15 March 2013, with increased chances until 18 March 2013. They were later made available to all players on 6 March 2017 when the shady ghost started selling the pieces for 1,000 ecto-tokens each.
